We walked from the train station in under ten minutes. Google maps wasn't the best but we got there via a rather circuitous route. Receptionist was very helpful and 2/3 of us could check in early- always welcome. Rooms were pretty small and basic but for two nights perfectly adequate as was my wifi and it was handy to have a fridge to stash the drinks we bought in. I slept pretty well as it was a quiet room. Loads of shops and coffee bars/ restaurants nearby and really handy for the zoo and tram. The area felt safe and for a cheap break if the price is right we may stay here again. Breakfast was fine and warm gluten free bread was made available for a friend upon request.

Just the worst. Got to hotel just after 10pm: no-one there, hotel locked up. Phoned number on plaque outside but they were rude and totally unhelpful. Had to find another hotel, with young child in tow. Complained after I returned home. Hotel then lied about having sent someone to meet us, and rejected the complaint. A total disgrace and I will never visit again.

This is very no frills. For instance, there is absolutely no service after 10pm -- main entrance is closed, you enter through a back door -- don't forget your room key! Note also that breakfast is not included, a relatively normal feature as far as I can tell. You'll have to decide yourself if the price is right.

The overall experience wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t “very good” either, hence 3 stars... I think “average” is a good description. I knew it was only a breakfast hotel, so that is fine... and they are honest about room sizes etc... so while small, it is what it is. Following our stay, I think the price is maybe a bit higher than it should be considering the amenities of the hotel, and realistically the location is not “great”... it’s close to the train station and on a tram stop, and by the zoo, but it’s still not a pleasant neighbourhood to walk in at night and it is the opposite side of the train station to the town centre. The price is not high relative to other 4 star hotels, but let’s be honest, this is a nice 3 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star. Breakfast is fine, but not great... and considering this is a breakfast hotel, I just think it should be better, especially for €16 pp. There was no normal juice, just weird savoury smoothies, which is strange. But again, it’s not bad, just not great. The place does what it says on the tin, it was a pleasant stay, but I don’t personally believe it is great value! I kind of wish I had spent a little more money and stayed in the city centre.

We stayed one night in Sept. It was exactly what we needed. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. The pillows could have been a little firmer but Germany is notorious for soft pillows. There was confusion about parking which we had pre-booked so we ended up parking at the Zoo which was very close anyway. The location was great and very easy to drive to and to walk to/from the city. Would stay here again.

Sehr gutes Hotel. Wir waren in einem Rooftop Zimmer mit gutem Ausblick über einen Teil der Stadt. Das Bett war groß, die Kissen und etwas zu dick, aber sonst alles super, modern, schön. Das Frühstücksbuffet war super. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. An der Rezeption waren alle sehr freundlich. Wir könnten den Urlaub sehr genießen.

Ausgezeichnete Lage, freundliches Personal und super Frühstück. Helle ruhige Zimmer. Nähe zum Bahnhof und Zoo. Alles gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Parken im Zooparkhaus problemlos, nur abends spät geschlossen. Ich kann und werde dieses Hotel gerne weiter empfehlen.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichen Personal und sehr guten Frühstück (alles was das Herz begehrt). Zudem nett eingerichtete und ruhige Zimmer. Lage ideal wenn wann zu Fuß in den Zoo (ca. 6 Minuten) oder in die City möchte. Parken im Zoo-Parkhaus optimal. Gerne wieder.

Das Hotel liegt zentral direkt am Zoo und nur 10 Minuten fussläufig von der Innenstadt entfernt. Hotelgarage unbedingt vorher reservieren. Ansonsten gibt es 2 Straßen weiter das Parkhaus Zoo. Wir haben für 2 Tage € 24,-- bezahlt. Unser Rooftop Zimmer lag im 5. Stock mit großer Dachterrasse. Das Zimmer selbst ist sehr klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet: Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine (im Schrank), Wasserkocher mit Teebeuteln und sogar Gummiente und Socken als Willkommensgruß. Kleiderbügel und Stauraum für 2 Tage ok, für längere Aufenthalte vielleicht etwas knapp bemessen. Fernsehen geht nur vom Bett aus, da kein Sofa oder Sessel. Auf der Dachterrasse stehen 1 Tisch und 2 Stühle. Etwas nervig war die Küchenablulft auf dem Dach, da sie regelmäßig auch nachts anspringt und brummt. Das Hotel hat kein Restaurant, nur einen Frühstücksbereich. Das Frühstück wird mit € 20,-- berechnet und war überraschend gut. Es gab eine Auswahl an schönen Käsesorten, dazu Lachs, Rührei, verschiedene Wurstsorten, Säfte, Obst, Müsli, süßes Gebäck und einiges mehr. Die Mitarbeiterinnen beim Frühstück waren sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Alles in allem ist das Hotel ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um Leipzig zu erkunden. Das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis ist ok.
