Unfortunately, the hotel is very, very run down. It appears they are replacing carpet in the lobby - and although the lobby is very spacious, the current state definitely is a tripping / danger zone for the elderly. The elevator (although 2 of them) are extremely small, if you have luggage, only 2, maybe 3 people, can fit. The walls need painting, carpet is horribly stained and dirty. The first room I checked into had toilet paper and feces in the toilet; when I called to ask if the room had been cleaned, the front desk replied 'probably not, come back down and we'll put you in another room'. There was no apology, sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. My background is hotels, so you can easily check to see if the room SHOULD have been cleaned. The new room was difficult to find, signage is insufficient. The hotel room, itself, was fine - bathroom is very small, with no vent. Bed was comfortable.

it was a horrible experience, you have to wait until 3pm to check in which is understandable but there is also a long wait and 1 person at the front desk. My husband left his Apple Watch on the bed before check out and we decided to step out and come back and get it but when we arrived they stated they didn’t find anything even thought his Apple Watch location kept pinging at the hotel. we called the front desk and she was rude and hung up the phone. she stated the cleaners/maid didn’t see anything but we know we left it at the room. She gave us the key to look but that was after they came and cleaned the room so it was a waste of time. very unprofessional, you also have to pay for your own breakfast, it is not complimentary. I spent 44$ so my family of 4 can eat. ridiculous

I hadn’t posted about this because we’ve been hoping to hear back from the hotel regarding this incident. But during a recent stay at Radisson Hotel Lenexa, Overland Park, the breakfast buffet had a cereal labeled as cocoa Krispies. As you can see in the picture, this is the wrong cereal. My son has never had cocoa crispies and did not know what to look for so he trusted the label. The cereal appears to be Reese’s puffs as Robbie had a peanut reaction. The reaction caused swelling and itchiness in his throat, but he did not go into anaphylaxis. We were very lucky and thankful for that. However, the staff at the hotel did not care at all that they’re negligence caused this reaction and could have hospitalized Robbie. When I commented on it to the person in charge of the buffet, at first, they said that it did not happen. Finally, they acknowledged there was a problem when Phil insisted they remove the cereal from the buffet. At no point during Robbie‘s reaction did anyone from the hotel speak to us, apologize, show any kind of compassion at all. From what I understand, if there hadn’t been a label, it would’ve been incumbent on us to inquire if the food was safe. However, they mislabeled the food. It is directly their fault that he had the reaction. It is the grace of God that’s some thing worse didn’t happen. We still have not heard back from the hotel, despite Phil calling the manager last week. It is as if they are trying to erase what their negligence did to my son. If you have food, allergies, do not eat at the breakfast buffet at the Radisson in Lenexa Overland Park. But truthfully, I would just recommend not going there at all. Feel free to share this with others who travel, especially those with food allergies

Main elevator was out of service. The ice machine on our floor was not working. Walls are thin, people in next room was extremely loud. Had to contact front desk several times to complain. Would not recommend this hotel. Radisson hotels used to be great places to stay, not anymore.

The hotel itself is beautiful (lobby and rooms) with a cool design, the beds are comfortable enough. Breakfast is not included ($12/person/day). We had strange interactions with the staff but nothing rude or vulgar— just the staff between food and front desk just not being on the same page/not acting very professionally. The pool and hot tub are in an open part of the lobby so the sound travels really clearly to your room so sleeping in or early bedtime or naps are difficult. Our room had an adjoining room and the people next to us had kids who kept jiggling our door handle and the sound from their room of kids yelling and playing was very loud as if it were in our room. The floors are vinyl so sound definitely echoes. Housekeeping is only every 3 days. Undecided if we’d come back or recommend for these reasons.
Response from Property: Thanks for staying with us we hope to see you again!

I travel for work, so I stay at Radisson most often. The rooms are always clean, the food is always good and the Front Desk manager, Shawn M. is easily one of my favorite people to see when I check in.

I stay here for business quite regularly. The place has came a long way. You'll not find a complete hot breakfast then here. It's not the microwavable stuff that you'll find at other hotels. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and sheets are clean.

Room was piping 75 in our room. Air cond. not working so we just shut it off and only dropped to 72 overnight. Bath extremely small and no plug to tub for a bath . I asked about breakfast at check in was advised items and time NOT told $10pp cash only or voucher. So I went to counter asked for room charge in exchange for voucher and told management won’t allow him to. Place is run down outdated rude staff . With at least 3 other hotels walking distance GO THERE not here plus they provide coffee & continental breakfast. For the money you pay to what you get… breakfast is the least this establishment can do.

My stays have been excellent. Kaitlynn has always been able to correct any issues that arise during my stay. She is always very polite and professional when greeting me. I would recommend that all of the staff at this location be more like Kaitlynn.

This hotel isn't worth a dollar. It's complete junk. It was 189 dollars due to the football game in town which is highway robbery. The grounds are unkept, the walls have paint peeling, and the staff are the rudest people I have ever encountered. DONT stay here. The rooms look clean, but they're not. We went to the store and bought Sanitizing wipes, I wish I would have taken a picture of the filth.

The hotel itself really needs a facelift, but the room was very clean and the service was excellent. After arriving home 3-hours away, we realized we had left a beautiful custom-made wedding ring on the bathroom counter. The desk clerk Nikki personally went to the room and found it, then put it away until we returned to pick it up. Some people might have said they did not find the ring, but Nikki was honest and helpful. It meant so much to have the ring back. Employees like her make all the difference in a hotel stay.
