We stayed at the Dewey, one of three inns in the Lenox Collection. Very nice room that has been modernized and it was very comfortable. The rest of the experience was not good. Contrary to what we were told (twice - on the phone and at check in), breakfast is not provided during the week. It is only available at one of the other two inns. Moreover, when we had a problem with the shower on our first evening, and then the next morning when we couldn't understand why breakfast wasn't served, no one answered our phone calls. We were forwarded to the central reservation assistant in Seattle who also was not able to reach anyone. The front porch of the Dewey was never cleaned during our stay, with a cigarette sitting in a makeshift ashtray. On our second day, we had to track down the absentee staff to obtain fresh bath towels. Despite the fact that we met the general manager in person, and that he was extremely helpful and apologetic, we do not consider the Lenox Collection to be a first class operation, though they are charging for one. We are experienced travelers, and we will never again stay at an Inn or Hotel that does not have staff on hand in the place where we are staying. This may be contrary to the economic model that seems to be in vogue, but that model, in our experience (here and at other locations in New England) does not seem to be working for the client. Mediocre experience.

Where do I begin? My wife and I stayed at The Constance for two midweek nights. The room was tiny. There was no dresser to put clothes away. There was a desk but no chair. Just a huge bed. The mattress was marginally comfortable. There was a musty odor in the room, not remedied by a/c. The breakfast was pathetic (bagels wrapped in plastic wrap). The bathroom was OK. And the location is great for going to local restaurants and theatre. The sad thing about all of this is that there are so few decent inns in Lenox, as some have closed or repurposed as "destination" event rentals.

In a word, our stay at The Constance was wonderful. Quaint, lovely, comfortable, charming and scenic all apply. The people are terrific and helpful. Convenient to so much history and places and things to see, we will be sure to book a room at The Constance when we return to Western MA.

.Beautiful historic building turned Inn. Lovely, clean, updated rooms. Our king room was very spacious with a nice sitting area. Comfy beds & individual heat/AC in each room. Beautiful front porch & breakfast area. Inn keepers were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Definitely recommend.

I have already written up my review so I will not repeat myself. Overall, the experience was positive but there were also a few unexpected challenges which had very little effect on our satisfaction level.

Great location. Walk to all the shops and restaurants. Bed was super comfy and lovely decor. Breakfast was acceptable (for a continental offering) with ample coffee, nice granola and tasty muffins. Only gripe is that the TV didn’t stream properly. Lots of pauses and freezing of screen during our entire stay. Manager said it’s the Wi-Fi that gets spotty when there are many guests. I’d suggest to owners to invest in a WiFi booster for each level of the inn. Having a working TV in the room is an essential part of any stay. At any rate room was quiet and spacious and location close to Tanglewood.

We stayed at The Dewey last year, another Inn which is part of The Constance. We loved The Dewey, but needed a bigger room this year, so stayed at The Constance. We absolutely loved it, everything was so easy, the accommodations beautiful, and we will definitely be returning!

This hotel boasts an unbeatable location, perfect for exploring the city! While the rooms might be a bit dated, the comfortable beds made for a cozy stay. Overall, a great spot for those prioritizing convenience and a good night's sleep.

This was a much better place in its former life as the Rookwood Inn, charming with a personal touch by the owner. Now it is cold and corporate with minimal to non-existent service. What a loss. Our room was freezing with inadequate heat but in a place like this on Thanksgiving weekend there was no one there to talk to.
