Hotels in Les Houches Reviews

Hotel du Bois My husband and I stayed here the night before we started our TMB trek. We arrived around 2pm and were able to leave our bags in the lobby but could not check-in to our room until 4pm (the stated check-in time). It seemed as though a lot of other people were in the same situation because the lobby was full of bags! The hotel did offer full use of their pool, however, which was nice. We chose to walk the 10 minutes to explore the main part of town which was very nice! The hotel’s location is very convenient. Once we could check-in, our room was on the first floor and it was simply but clean and nice. It was one of the few hotel rooms on our entire trip that had a refrigerator. This was great because it allowed us to purchase lunch at the grocery store in town the evening prior to our first day of hiking. Dinner was included in our trip package and was a delightful three-course meal. I had a quiche to start, a main of beef and potatoes, and dessert of blueberry pie. Breakfast had an equally good selection of hot and cold items. We’d definitely recommend a stay here while in the area!

Very nice place to stay for skiing in Megève, Chamonix, Contamines et Flaine. Very nice hotel run by Cristophe et Cristel. They really make your stay worth the money you pay. Make sure you stop at the bar run by Marion et Aurelien and have some tapas.

My 2nd time here and the place is brilliant. Small, quiet and very relaxed. Great for couples or a long weekend with friends. The rooms are very comfortable and the new bathrooms and clean and modern. The restaurant and spa are excellent especially after a full day on the slopes. The bar and breakfast are equally good. Ski hire discount cards are available at reception and the bus stop is right outside. Regular busses service the Belle Vue and Prarion lifts which are 5 minutes away and you can catch busses into Chamonix on a regular basis. The routes are a little confusing and if you don’t like spending time on buses with ski gear then hire a big car or van and make use of the hotel car park at the back
