My husband and I went again to Artesian Lakes and had a wonderful time! If you enjoy nature in the woods, rustic cabins, swimming, hiking, then this is it. The property is well maintained and Katelynn (sp) at the front desk was very sweet and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. Only about an hour and 1/2 from our home in Baytown.

Artesian Lakes is great. Our family loved the fishing, swimming, hiking, etc. However, we stayed in the Zoller Point cabin and were very unhappy with the lack of cleanliness. This is our 2nd time to stay in Zoller Point. It was clean when we stayed last year. When we arrived this year I went to the potty and immediately noticed the toilet hadn't been cleaned. The sink spigot and the counter behind the sink had toothpaste on them. The other bathrooms were just as dirty. One of the bedrooms upstairs smelled awful and had obvious stains on the comforter, of which I won't say what it was. It smelled dirty too, so we had to wash it. The room also smelled extremely strong of mold. We understood why when we looked up at the ceiling and saw that it was covered in black mold. The ceiling in the upstairs gameroom was also covered in black mold as well. The cabin was dusty beyond words. I get that it's in the woods, but not dusting basic furniture is unacceptable, especially for the price we paid. The floors were filthy as well. There was even old food under the couches. We could see standing dirt on the floors. Based on our trip this year we would definitely NOT recommend Zoller Point. Perhaps one of the other homes use a better cleaning service.

So i have been coming for 16 years and this was the worst. no restaurant, no horses, no carriage, no bomb fire for smores, nothing but pool and the water was not pretty. i loved coming here and it is super sad to see it in this condition. The gift shop was empty nothing attracting. my door lock did not work had to go through the window three times. such a disappointment. we are deffently looking for a new place for the grandbabies.

We planned a three generation family two night trip to The Lake House. This place is beautiful! We really enjoyed the fishing and seeing all the wildlife! However, the home needs a deep cleaning and a lot of upkeep. If it were my home and I had guests staying there, I would be embarrassed as to the uncleanliness!

We had a 20 year Marine Corps Reunion here in March 2023 and this was a fantastic venue for it. Quiet spacious cabins, friendly and extremely helpful staff, delicious food, and the scenery was amazing. Alligators, snapping turtles, soft shell turtles, and lots of fish to catch. Already planning another trip with the whole family.

This was the WORST ever in our many many visits to Chain O Lakes. What we still call it. As we have been going over 20 years. We actually went in Sept 2021 for Labor day. The House we stayed in was ZOLLER POINT. RUN RUN RUN do not go here. This was the worst ever. House was extremely dirty on outside. We had trouble getting in the door. I took my elderly parents and there was not supposed to be but 8 stairs up to house. They left out the part about it being very step and not for those not in great shape. Once in the house, I had to clean kitchen it had grime all over the place. Cabinets ad dishes have not been cleaned in years. We used paper goods and left all cabinets closed. THANK goodness we had not planned to cook. There were lights out all over the house. Cobwebs inside nd outside everywhere. The HOUSE does NOT look like the pictures, those must be over 10 years old or so. Outside was disgustingly dirty. The entire place had not been cleaned much less an attempted clean. SOOOOOOOOO totally disappointed and the cost was extremely high. Go someplace else, not a good place. NOT up to par.

I went here last week for a couples trip and we really enjoyed seeing alligators, kayaking, walking the hiking trails, and relaxing by the swimming pool. We saw several deer and our views were pretty memorable. The drinks and snacks in the front office for purchase came in very handy as there wasn’t too much to buy in area. I would definitely recommend dusting your room before you sleep. We laid down in the bed and there was tons of dust on walls as well as spiderwebs in room. There is no cellphone service as expected but I was surprised that Horseback riding and several other activities were not being offered.

Zoller Point House - We are a group of realtors who take an extended weekend annually to get away and relax and have “girl time” upon our arrival and before we could settle down we had to clean balconies etc. The home is dirty and very tired looking. It is in need of a deep deep cleaning. Kitchen faucet barely worked and had no hot water. Pots and pans are in terrible condition and had to be washed prior to using. Co-webs in windows which have not been cleaned for years I guess. Burnt out lightbulbs etc. That being said location is awesome.

I have tried to reach the manager and he has yet to return my call. I was not pleased with my stay, as well as my guest complain the entire weekend. First, I was so embarrassed when we walked upon the porch/deck. The railing was full on spider webs and spider eggs. Which was a big disappointment because I COULD NOT WAIT TO ENJOY SITTING ON THE PORCH TO LOOK OUT INTO THE WATER. Secondly, several lights were out on the porch/deck, which made it uncomfortable to sit outside after dark. Thirdly, we had to clean the kitchen before we could put anything in the pantry. It appeared that they didn't sweep the kitchen nor the pantry. Fourthly, while cooking breakfast on Saturday a roach fell on the stove, as well as one was found dead on the floor Sunday morning in the family room. The light in the shower area in the bathroom downstairs was out. I will include pictures with this email. Also, the garbage disposal stops working and water was backing up in the sink while we were cooking Saturday morning. Called the front desk admin and they contacted maintenance. Maintenace came out and fix the garbage disposal. I'm requesting a refund of one night stay please. This was so embarrassing; my guest was not happy and was complaining if this area isn't clean what about our beds. I apologized all weekend and trying to make the best of it. Two of my guests drove in from Dallas and my others guest drove in from Houston, so it wasn't easy nor was it an option to seek another location.
