Stranded at the station in the rain, we were pleasantly surprised when the hotel owner personally came to pick us up. This unexpected warmth instantly made us feel at home in Lijiang. This was my second stay here. Last time I booked a family room and didn't find it to be great value for money, but this time I opted for a king-size bed room, which was quite good. From the rooftop garden on the eighth floor, I could faintly see the snow-capped mountains, and the king-size room itself was spacious. The staff's service attitude was also excellent. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The hotel is located in an alley on the outskirts of the ancient city, so it's quiet yet convenient, though it's a bit of a walk to the main ancient city area. Since it's currently peak season, I recommend walking instead of taking a taxi.

The room was very clean and hygienic. We also got to experience Dongba rubbings and there's a pool table for entertainment, which was great for traveling with kids. We stayed for several nights and had a very comfortable stay. The staff were enthusiastic, highly recommend!

Our stay at Xiyu Mountain Retreat during our Lijiang trip was fantastic. The hotel has a great ambiance and design throughout. The succulents on the eighth floor are beautifully arranged, and there's a wide variety of public leisure areas, including a laundry room. On clear days, when it's not raining, you can even see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance. The rooms are clean and dry, and the staff provide warm and attentive service, making our stay very comfortable. It's conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient town, making it an excellent choice. The hotel facilities are all well-equipped, and the special traditional tea brewing experience was superb. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

The hotel is located just outside the old town. The room was spacious and equipped with smart home features. From the rooftop, you can catch a view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. They offer afternoon tea, a tea ceremony by the fireplace, and a pool table. The staff were very friendly and my child really enjoyed their stay. The only downside is the poor soundproofing.

The room was great, spacious enough for a family trip. The environment was also very good.

The location is fantastic, right near the old town with lots of restaurants, pharmacies, and snack shops nearby, and very convenient for transport. You can tell the owner (or 'Banniang') puts a lot of effort into running this guesthouse; both the bedding and breakfast are of good quality. While the breakfast selection isn't vast, it's delicious and clean, and the topping for the rice noodles is excellent! It feels like every room is a mountain-view room, and the rooftop decor is clearly thoughtfully designed with a grand, expansive feel. Everyone at the guesthouse is friendly and chatty, patiently answering any questions. The grill master is very enthusiastic, and the front desk lady is also very kind; she thoughtfully turned on the heater every time we returned to our room, concerned we might get cold. When my family experienced altitude sickness, they promptly provided oxygen tanks. We even left an extra oxygen tank at the front desk before checking out, for anyone who might need it! All in all, it's a truly wonderful guesthouse! If there's one minor drawback, it's that the air conditioner points directly at the bed, and even with a baffle added, the design isn't ideal.
