My wife and I, first-time visitors from Honghe Prefecture, were on a trip to Lijiang. We looked at numerous guesthouses within the ancient town, but weren't impressed by any of their interiors or courtyards. Even places we'd seen highly advertised on video platforms didn't quite live up to the hype when we saw them in person. We stumbled upon this guesthouse while exploring the old town; passing by its entrance, we were immediately captivated by the beautiful floral display. After the owner kindly showed us a room, we decided to stay in a cozy one on the second floor, tucked away from the main thoroughfare. The owners are exceptionally warm and welcoming. All doors are accessed via keypad, so there's no need to carry a key card, making coming and going incredibly convenient. Being located right in the ancient town meant we could enjoy the night market and simply wander back 'home' whenever we liked. It's also just a few minutes' walk from bus stops and various eateries, so getting around is super easy.
