Guanfang Hotel Garden Villa (Shuhe Ancient Town)

It's close to Suhago Castle. Getting around by taxi wasn't a major inconvenience. There's no supermarket outside the resort, so if you need to buy anything, you'll need to prepare it before you arrive. The resort is large and beautiful, and the breakfast is excellent.

This is the hotel I must stay in when I go to Lijiang. It is not an ordinary big hotel. It is a good place to relax. There is a bus to the ancient city and Shuhe is within walking distance. The restaurant can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. If you are not in a hurry to leave, this is a place worth staying.

This is a typical old hotel with a typical old-school atmosphere. When I booked, I saw that it offered butler service, but it didn't. Fortunately, the room attendant in the courtyard where my room was located was always available, so I could ask her if I needed anything. Other services were basically non-existent. The breakfast wasn't up to five-star hotel standards, honestly. The variety and quality were average, though the freshly cooked rice noodles were okay. The room was incredibly dated and had a stale smell. Even leaving the doors and windows open for long periods of time didn't help. A renovation is needed, or else such a beautiful garden would be wasted. My booking included a shuttle to the station, but the front desk had no idea. Fortunately, I confirmed it a day in advance and they arranged a car for the next day. Overall, the hotel's ambiance and location are good, but the rooms and service leave much room for improvement.

It was a very bad experience. The quilt was dirty, the facilities and equipment were old, the ditch was full of stagnant water, the walls were damp, the hotel was very old, and it was far away from the dining area.

The service was excellent and the scenery was beautiful.
