Lijiang Mountain Adventure International Youth Hostel

This is probably the worst hostel I have stayed at in China so far. It was dirty, messy, and the staff didn’t know much about the hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge which was the reason I came to stay here but it was very cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. They don’t provide toiletries or a towel, or even toilet paper!! They do have washing machines at 5 yuan per use but no dryer. Also the climbing area is not free as I thought but costs 30 yuan to use. Please note that there is no aircon, the window in my room didn’t shut so there were lots of mosquitos in the room, and the bedding they provided smelt bad and the duvet was a thick winter duvet that was too hot to use. The location is the best part about this hostel as it is really close to an entrance to the old town so that should be the only reason to stay here. If this review hasn’t put you off staying here I would recommend choosing one of the rooms with an attached bathroom as those seem a little cleaner.

Good location and the room was fairly clean, as well as the bathroom. However, there were no facilities to make tea or coffee, and they don’t provide a code to enter after midnight. We ended up waiting outside for 15 minutes before someone let us in.

The only i didn't like is that I can't lock the door when i go out. But it's still great for it's price!

The location is very convenient and rooms are nice. The shared space with climbing area is great!

Location is very convenient and nearby gate of old town. Check-in process was quick. But there is no lock for room and it feels ver insecure for women solo traveller.
