the boss was very kind despite my language barrier. the homestay was lovely. hope to go back again!

Recommended place to stay, i stay for 2 night after the hike to rest and roaming around The Ancient town, the Lady was so nice, although we communicate using Translator apps but she was very helpful, she even find me a car to send me to Railway station and bring me to South gate with my heavy luggage.

This is such an exceptional place, from the decor to the service, everything is absolutely top-notch. Each room is individually and beautifully decorated and furnished. Everything works perfectly, the wifi is super fast, the showers always hot, the extra furnishings like seats and table very welcome. Buried down a narrow street in the heart of the ancient city of Lijiang, it is a little difficult to find at first (for a foreigner), although as I was standing unknowing right outside it, a beautiful woman asked me in english if she could help me find my hotel. She turned out to be firm friends with the hostess, and soon had me checked in. I had to extend my stay an extra couple of days after falling ill with a stomach complaint, and once aware of my plight, the hostess was kindness itself, offering tasty home-made noodle soup daily, and doing my laundry for free. she was charmingly insistent I ask for any help and was very happy to do so. Often in a hotel you can feel treated politely but perfunctorily, not so here. Quite the opposite, I experienced genuine concern for my well-being on several occasions, and cannot thank the pair of them enough. I can't think why anyone would want to stay anywhere else!

The location provided by Trip.com is completely inaccurate—it's about a five-minute walk from the actual site of the guesthouse. Also, be aware that the English name of this guesthouse appears in at least three different versions in the local signals around the district, which adds confusion for foreign travelers just arriving. Fortunately, we were lucky to meet a kind local who helped us call the owner and even walked us to the correct location. The guesthouse itself is nice, and in the heart of Lijiang. For the price, the room includes all the basic amenities, including a kettle, which was appreciated. However, we would suggest that the owner replace the toilet paper daily and take out the trash—after three days, it became a bit of an issue. Additionally, our room was on the ground floor, where guests (and the owner) tend to gather around an outdoor table to chat and smoke, which made it hard to rest at times. Still, it was a pleasant stay overall.

The owner was so nice and friendly. The room was beautiful, clean and cheap. The location is perfect. We had an amazing time and if we come back to Lijiang for sure we will come back there. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the kindness.
