The hotel is very nice, and obviously the views across the circuit are great. However, the service is absolutely terrible! When we stayed here it wasn’t excessively busy, there were 3 bar staff at all times yet you still waited up to 20mins to be served. Nobody there knew how to make a cocktail, and when the lager barrel ran out it was at least 30 mins until someone actually changed it. The staff seemed very inexperienced, I’d dread to think how it would be if it were very busy. As the temperature reached 25 degrees we ventured to the roof bar, only to be told the they could make us a cocktail, but had no alcohol to put in them, when we then asked for a beer instead they said we couldn’t have a beer as the pumps were off and they only had non alcoholic beers in bottles, there was no plans to change it neither, missed an opportunity there given the weather I think. Also, the balcony area outside the main bar was quite dirty with rubbish blowing around, this rubbish was still there the following morning. Breakfast was absolute chaos, there was so much mess and food laying around without anyone doing anything to tidy up the mess, no cutlery available, no coffee cups, coffee machine ran out, very slow to restock the hot food. Nobody seemed to care about any of the above situations, and other guest were showing their frustrations by cancelling orders and sending drinks/food back. We also got told that room service was unavailable at 10:30pm, which seems crazy. A nice hotel, a great location, but very very poor inexperienced staff.
