Very disappointing and stressful experience at Kassavetis. I arrived at the property around 20:00 after travelling from the airport and was informed that the deposit could only be paid in euros. At that time, all banks and exchange offices were already closed, so it was impossible for me to exchange my British pounds. What upset me was not the hotel policy itself, but the way the situation was handled. Instead of showing understanding or helping calmly, the reception staff argued with me for a long time while I was visibly exhausted from travelling. The situation became extremely stressful and humiliating. The following morning, from very early hours, the reception staff came to my door three separate times and knocked aggressively regarding the payment. Their behaviour felt intimidating and abusive, especially considering I had just arrived the previous evening after travelling and was already under significant stress. Because of the way I was treated and how unsafe and uncomfortable I felt during the stay, I decided to leave the property the next morning. I travel frequently and fully understand that hotels have rules and payment policies. However, guests should still be treated with professionalism, empathy, and respect, especially after arriving late in the evening from the airport. What disappointed me even more was the hotel’s public response afterwards, where they accused me personally instead of professionally addressing the complaint and the experience I described. I have travelled extensively and I have never experienced such cold and hostile behaviour from hotel staff before. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this property to travellers expecting professionalism, kindness, or respectful customer service.
