Secret Patio Lisbon

The room is perfectly fine but what makes this place great is the vibe, amenities, and location. It’s really cozy with plants and plenty of places to sit outside, both in the courtyard or near the really nice pool. You’re in the middle of the city making it easy to explore Santa Maria Maior and São Vicente by foot.

Amazing experience at this accommodation! There are plenty of places around to eat, and Pink Street for nightlife is also close. There was no kettle in the room, but it was on the ground floor, so you could make your own tea/coffee! Totally recommend!

I didn't like the accommodation at this hostel, and I don't recommend it. 1. cleaning was done only once a day. The toilets were very dirty. Some restrooms were deliberately locked to reduce the amount of cleaning needed. As a result, the toilets got dirty often, but nobody cleaned them during a day. 2. The walls are made of cardboard. Every night I woke up because the neighbors were sneezing or talking. I could even hear them plugging in their phone charger. And I could hear the toilet lid slamming shut. Absolutely everything is audible. 3. The hotel was very, very cold. When I wanted to have some hot tea to warm up, I was told there was a kettle in the hotel, but there were no cups. How can a hostel have no cups? Plus, I think this is terrible service. I checked out and needed to leave my suitcase for two hours. They asked me to pay 5 euros. I have those 5 euros, but it's a matter of principle and customer service — specifically, the lack of it. I do not recommend this place.

The place was ok - clean but very shabby . The bathroom light was on a timer that lasted 8 seconds and no windows so we had to shower in the dark , everything in the dark waving hands around to get light on every 8 seconds. My friend injured herself slipping in shower in the dark. We spoke to reception 5 times and they said they would look into it. No one did .. no feedback .. no apologies .. also very loud construction work (October 2025) with no prior warning … breakfast very overpriced for what you can get in Lisbon so don’t bother with it - didn’t look great. Wish I could be more positive but I’d only ever book this again as last resort.. Selina Ericeira was great when I stayed there previously but Selina Lisbon not great..
