Hotel Borges Chiado

The room was clean. It was a Hollywood twin room with soft beds and two types of pillows, two of each, plus two extra cushions. There were power outlets by the bed, and light switches on both sides of the bed. The shower was handheld, but the drainage was poor. Be careful, as the water will overflow towards the toilet if you keep it running. There was no shampoo or conditioner, only a combined soap dispenser. The male staff member at night was completely unfriendly. The location was convenient, just 200m to the above-ground entrance of Baixa-Chiado station and a 2-minute walk to Tram 28 stop. The mobile signal was bad, so the hotel's Wi-Fi was essential.

The building itself is old, but the facilities inside have been updated. Breakfast is just average. The biggest plus here is the location! It's fantastic, right next to the station. However, on the flip side, it can get quite noisy at night...

The location is fantastic and super convenient, right in a lively area. The hotel is literally right at the subway exit. However, the mini-fridge in the room made a strange, whirring noise, like wind blowing.

The hotel's location is superb, with a subway entrance and tram stop right downstairs. Although there's a bit of an uphill walk to get to the hotel, it's manageable. The area itself has a strong tourist vibe and is very busy. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, and the front desk staff are friendly.

I want to highlight the excellent location – it's central and right in front of a metro entrance. The reception and cleaning staff were also incredibly friendly. On the ground floor, there are various social areas, beautifully decorated to give a 'cave-like' feel. The breakfast buffet is very varied and served in an old ballroom, which is a lovely touch.
