The apartment was well-maintained and clean. Many flights arrive at night, so check-in may be late, but if you're checking in after 8 p.m. when no one is at the apartment, you'll need to confirm with the hotel via email how to open the gate and how to collect your room key. The location is good, but the narrow road in front of the hotel is quite steep, so if you want to call a taxi, you'll need to walk to a nearby road where you can park, which can be difficult if you have a suitcase. Also, the apartment is four stories tall and has no elevator, and the stairs are quite steep, so it was very difficult to carry my suitcase up and down the stairs when checking in and out. It would have been helpful if the hotel had made it clear that there was no elevator.

Had an amazing stay at this apartment hotel in Lisbon! The room was exactly as per my requirements.clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, but a special thanks to Soroia who checked us in. She was incredibly helpful showed us around the apartment, guided us about the area and nearby attractions, and even recommended great vegetarian restaurant options, which I really appreciated. There was also another lady, unfortunately we don't know her name but she was also very helpful. I work in hospitality myself, and honestly, I’ve rarely seen this level of service. They truly go above and beyond for their guests. I know there is no elevator, but to be honest, once you check into the room, it’s completely worth it.We had an incredible view from our hotel. Highly recommend this place.Exceptional customer service and a fantastic experience overall!❤️

This hotel is amazing. The location is perfect with many great restaurants and bars close by. The rooms were clean and quite nice, and offered everything one could want. The balcony was an added perk. The staff was quite attentive and offered excellent recommendations for restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend this lodging to anyone visiting Lisbon.

We really enjoyed our stay at 54 Santa Catarina. The location was a great home base for exploring Lisbon. The staff was really friendly (they even helped us get out heavy suitcase down to the bottom of the hill outside of the hotel). We stayed in the garden apartment and it was absolutely perfect with a huge terrace outside (I could live in it).

Loved everything about the apartments, clean, spacious and well located. On a hill but what isn’t in Lisbon! The receptionist was so friendly and recommended restaurants to us upon arrival. Can’t fault anything about it really, we were in a one bedroom luxury apartment which was a few flights of stairs up. Nice view, good housekeeping and close to everything we wanted to see.

The staff here are truly wonderful - warm, helpful, and worthy of 5 stars. Sadly, the hotel as a product doesn’t live up to their standard of service. Rooms are spacious, stylish and well laid out. The windows keep out street noise - but inside is a different story. The wooden floors creak and crack with every step, and there’s no soundproofing between rooms. Footsteps and furniture scraping above us kept us awake past midnight, and again at dawn - it seems our neighbors upstairs were late to bed early to rise. After three nights, we felt more drained from lack of sleep than when we arrived. Add to that the constant rush of water through the bathroom walls from upstairs bathrooms There are certainly acoustic issues to be resolved. There was also a sewage smell in our room that staff admitted was a known issue with two of the rooms. Frankly, those rooms shouldn’t be on the market at full price until it’s resolved - it made it unpleasant to be in the room at times. It’s also worth noting: our room was up 45 very steep steps. There’s a handrail on one side, but hauling luggage was tough, and it’s not ideal for kids or older guests. If all you value friendly service and roomy accommodation, you’ll find it here. But if you need a proper night’s sleep, and a rooms free of unsavory smells - think twice.

We stayed in this hotel for one night at the beginning of our trip to Lisbon. We stayed in the garden one bedroom apartment. It was very large, comfortable bed with a lovely patio. What stood out most was the lovely front desk manager, Soraia. She texted us when our room was ready, and offered a great breakfast place while we waited and lots of great suggestions on places to visit while we were in the city.

Great stay at the apartment as a family with a 4 year old! Most of our interactions were with Ana who was brilliant throughout and gave us loads of advice whenever needed. We were in room 302 which was very comfortable with a balcony as well. A perfect base and near spot on location to explore Lisbon!

Wow, yes! After a week in Spain, we only had 2 days in Portugal, but 54 Santa Catarina was such a beautiful and memorable stay. Our apartment was spacious, clean, updated, tastefully decorated. I wanted to stay longer and will definitely rebook this destination. You feel like you’re home here, and the owners care about your happiness and comfort. Attention to detail is a hallmark of this chic apartment just off the beaten path. We especially appreciated Sue, our concierge, who was charming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. 5 out of 5 stars, all the way!

Arrival was a lovely welcome from Sue (Soraia),very informative and offered a lot of advice re restaurants and transport options - the climb up to 54 Santa Catarina is a climb but hey that’s Lisbon!. Loads of advice and helpful hints, followed by the show round of the apartment which was beautiful. Lots of historic features and charm alongside modern amenities and comfort. Couldn’t have asked for more - probably one of the nicest we’ve stayed in - and a true reflection of the online images. Lovely added extras too, free launderette, coffee pods, rugs for the balcony. Settled in quickly then went to explore Lisbon but every time we returned to the apartment there was a smiling face to welcome us (Ana included) and more assistance when required. Couldn’t fault anything about it, including when we put our washing in the machine someone had put it in the drier for us before we got back downstairs. Apartment is really well equipped for a short stay, comfy bed, great shower, plenty of kitchen stuff if you need it. Locally loads of good restaurants and bars too.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Great amenities and close to anywhere you would want to go. Easy walk to several bus/tram stops. But beware: like most of Lisbon, the location requires some uphill and downhill climbs. We totally enjoyed being in one of the higher suites with great views and all of the comforts of home. We didn’t notice the lobby laundry room until later in our visit, but what a great touch. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend d this Aparthotel.

Genuinely beautiful apartment in a quiet street in the heart of Lisbon. We were delighted by the location, the quality of the room, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. It was amazing to be so close to the nightlife but to have such a quiet and tranquil space to ourselves! Be aware that we had to ascend a long, steep wooden staircase to reach our room. The staff were eager to help carry luggage and we had no problems at all, but I could imagine this might be challenging for somebody who is less mobile.

Loved this apartment. Beautiful, well equipped, beautifully decorated, lovely furniture and comfortable bed. Bathroom was lovely with double sinks and plenty of room. Terrace was lovely and spacious with a great view of the River. Apartment was super quiet, and we slept soundly. Wonderful staff, with a special call out to Ana. We arrived at about 11:30am, and although our room was not ready - we were able to leave our bags. Ana gave us a suggestion for lunch, and then messaged via WhatsApp about an hour later when the room was available. She was even kind enough to take our bags up to our rooms. Ana also gave us some amazing suggestions for dinner, and was very responsive via WhatsApp. There is no lift, and the stairs are quite steep - but worth it when you see the view from the terrace… and also good to ‘work off’ all the delicious food you eat in Lisbon! Location wise it was perfect, out of the crazy hustle and bustle - but a quick walk to restaurants and bars. Another bonus although we didn’t use it was a free laundry room with a washing machine & dryer. We wished we could have stayed longer than 2 nights - but will definitely stay here again should we return to Lisbon.
