Alegria Center Apartments

I'm not one to write bad reviews but this place had countless issues. Firstly though, the location was ideal, about 20 mins walk to the seafront and plenty of restaurants surrounding that were 5 mins walk max. Also a shisha bar around the corner, along with a shop right next door. However, it started by lack of communication from the host, ignored messages for weeks on end, we had to chase for her to let us know how to check in. We were advised she would meet us at a specified time to hand over the key. After confirming the time again when we were leaving the airport, we arrived and no sign of her, 30 mins later, still nothing and after attempting to call her, we received a message back to say 'cant talk right now' - suddenly an older woman shoves a key in my partners hand and walks away?? No confirmation of who we are and shown none of the apartment. After letting ourselves in, the apartment is a decent size but there was so much mould in every corner - this isn't okay, that stuff can make people seriously ill! Basic things hadn't been done though - bin wasn't emptied from the last residents so dirty take away boxes were overflowing. Nothing had been replenished like body wash, or tea/coffee, toilet roll. Whilst i am aware this is self catering, lacks of little touches like that were just disappointing. I appreciate these places are not fully insulated so street noise is expected, but being located on ground floor was just ridiculous from other guests having no common sense or respect and stomping around at all hours ( 3:50am - 6:30am!) and when the cleaner arrived at 7:00am, she was bellowing on her phone and banging around - ironic there is a 'QUIET PLEASE' sign as you come in through the first doors. Bed is uncomfortable, pillows none existent. No mirror in bedroom, lack of plugs. Everything is old, slowly rotting away. Shower's hot water lasted for about 5 minutes then turns cold. I know a lot of reviews can say 'desperate of a refurb' but this place needs looking at from a health and safety aspect with the mould throughout.
