Liuzhou Hotel

The room exceeded my expectations. It was 25 square meters, but felt like 30. The service was professional, well-regulated, and warm, truly befitting a state guesthouse. The hotel's location is superb, and the environment is lovely. While the facilities aren't the newest, they are well-designed and impeccably maintained. Very satisfied!

Liuzhou Hotel is one of the older state-run hotels in Liuzhou. During my stay, the main building was undergoing renovations, so the front desk was in the annex, which felt a bit desolate. The hotel grounds are lush with towering trees. I unexpectedly discovered Ho Chi Minh's former residence, where he stayed during his 1954 visit to China and met with Premier Zhou, right in the hotel garden. The hotel is located by the Liujiang River, with the Industrial Museum and Yaopu Ancient Town just across the bridge. The rooms have been renovated more recently and are reasonably well-equipped. The downsides were the very hard mattress. Also, I visited during a cold, rainy winter, and the central air conditioning in the room couldn't be started, which unfortunately dampened my overall impression of the hotel.

I stayed here for two days, visited the museum, paid my respects at the Liuhou Temple, strolled along Wuxing Street, and ate snail rice noodles. Liuzhou is a very vibrant city. Everyone at the hotel was very dedicated and welcoming!

It is an old five-star hotel with clean rooms. There is a relatively large outdoor parking lot. The hotel is in a good location, close to the river and not far from Liuhou Park. What needs to be complained is that as a five-star hotel, breakfast is not a buffet, but everyone orders their own food and the waiter delivers it. It may be because there are too few people staying.

I went to Liuzhou for a May Day trip and saw this historic state guesthouse, not the state guest building. Book early and the price is only more than 400 yuan for a pair of breakfasts. That's it. Take a taxi from the airport, about 30 yuan. There is a huge yard, and parking is not a problem when driving here. Turn left when you go out and you can enjoy the scenery of Liujiang River. Cross the bridge to the ancient town and the Industrial Museum. The hotel is about ten minutes southwest of the Liuhou Park and Liuzhou Museum. Another ten minutes walk to the Wuxing Road Pedestrian Street and Qingyun Market. Convenient transportation. There are many names of Chinese and foreign leaders on a big stone at the entrance of the hotel. In addition, there are two pink buildings in the yard, where the leaders have stayed. The hotel service attitude is very good, and we were given two boxes of snail noodles when we checked in. The room is in the yard, on the second floor of the administrative building. The room layout is reasonable and the facilities are slightly old. But the service is very detailed, and even boiled water for us in advance. It's just that we checked in at around nine o'clock in the evening, and there seemed to be no guests in the administrative building at that time. Fortunately, we were traveling together. If I were alone, I might not dare to stay here and would ask to change rooms.

Facilities: First-class, quiet environment, warm service, convenient transportation, but the breakfast standard is low and the variety is limited, which does not match its name.

The five stars are not for the room. Nothing to say. Good. Maybe it's the off-season. There are very few people staying in the hotel. There is no buffet breakfast. It's a meal. There is no fruit. The water pressure is low. The location is good.
