Very disappointed!.
We feel cheated. When looking to book, the picture shows the Kaype Hotel on the see front, BUT when booking the room, the room description comes up as Kaype - Quintamar which is NOT the same! After booking and paying the non refundable room rate, we got a email, saying not to expect a see view or balcony, as we were booked into the annex (this should have been explained before we booked).They make out it’s an annex at the rear of the hotel, but the reality it’s another hotel behind the Kaype Hotel with no views, a damp / musty smelling lobby, tatty stair carpets, tatty rooms, no one on reception, no on site parking (Reception and parking is at the Kaype Hotel) and for us, even worse, we were up in the loft space with no air conditioning and a low ceiling. Hit my head a number of times. We have been on a two were road trip and this is by far the worst hotel we have stayed at on this trip. I could go on, but the bottom line is scroll past this one and find a better hotel. 8 - 10 is not a fair reflection of this hotel. I would give it 5 - 10 and that’s only because of the location. Also could not get wifi in the attic room, but I guess that to stop anyone getting g on the internet and giving a bad review!

We stayed here traveling from Haro to Montforte de Lemos…nice stay, right on the ocean, close to Llanes town. pics do not do it justice! I would definitely stay again. That said, restaurant needs significant improvements for quality of service…food was average-one of the most amazing views. Rooms had twin beds, booked double.

The truth is that the hotel is nothing to write home about but the setting is BRUTAL, yes, with capital letters. In fact, I am already planning the next vacations in this enclave because this trip was for work but I have fallen in love. I was surprised to have to go down to the reception to ask for towels and that the floor of the room was dirty (I walk barefoot and things stick to me, I hate it) for the rest the staff is very friendly and I loved the silence.

I have not used the hotel, only the restaurant. I made a reservation the day before and when I arrived nobody knew anything: inside, outside... and the truth is that I didn't feel like either, noisy and messy from many points of view. They sent us to another building that they have on the second line of the beach, half empty, and it wasn't bad, friendly service, correct food, on the expensive side.

The hotel is good, location on the beach and room is good. Recommendable. Breakfast for €6.5 quite scarce. But the bar/restaurant fatal! We ordered some squid rings and croquettes to go up to the room and surprise when I went to pay? That the prices on the menu are not the same. 5.5 differences .. a pity that for things like that the hotel loses so many points.
