We had booked a bed and breakfast hotel nearby, but unfortunately it was so dirty that we couldn't stay. So we arrived here very late and they gave us the last available room. The owners were so friendly, the room was perfect and very clean. Thank you so much for letting us stay here!

Great location and lovely building & decor. Not much of a view though (our room faced a wall) Breakfast was nice, with bacon/sausage and continental options, but could have done with more variety (advertised as full Welsh Breakfast). Overall a lovely stay, and would be happy to come back.

Excellent place to stay, very clean, very pretty and very friendly and helpful staff. The beds were very comfy, the breakfast was of a good quality and fresh, the communal areas and very nice a relaxing.

The West House has undergone a nice upgrade over the last 5 years. Now it presents a nice, clean and comfortable appearance - far from the fairly run down facilities from earlier. This is a very positive change, and definitely brings the West House to the top of the list of local hotels. What I still found lacking, is breakfast: A very limited selection, and quite basic. Also, WiFi needs reinforcement, and TV signals are to weak to be of any use. Still: The best in the area (but after the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge), a nice place to stay, but not worth a detour.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the fabulous West House. From the excellent and friendly service from both Karen and John for whom nothing was too much trouble, to the lovely location, it was all a great experience. The accommodation and interior of the hotel was of a high standard and the garden area was a peaceful haven and all so well situated just a short stroll from the delights of the town of Llantwit Major. Overall a wonderful stay and we hope to be back again in the future.

Very comfortable hotel in a central location in the village. Good parking. Very courteous and helpful staff. Bed extremely comfortable and spacious bathroom and facilities. Excellent breakfast. Would recommend.
