I stayed at another Canguro Property in London via Airbnb, but there's no way to write a review for it, so I wanted to leave one here so other travellers will know what chances their taking. We booked our London rental with some trepidation because of the other bad reviews on here. The place was too beautiful and the price too reasonable to pass up. Everything went okay with check-in. They sent us a lockbox code the day of our arrival. When we entered, the place looked like what we saw in the photos, but we weren’t impressed with the cleanliness. The baseboards have a layer of dirt and grime on them, the pillow cases looked dusty and stained, and we found some dirt and hair on some surfaces. We discovered later that both beds only have a single sheet on them. No fitted sheet. I certainly hope they’re cleaning the duvet every time. Also, there are no welcome materials anywhere. I guess it allowed us to discover the wonderful little square with a lovely cafe and helpful salon just down the passage, but some local tips would have been nice. My kids and I were not loving the place, but there are some good points. The bathrooms are beautiful and the showers are luxurious. The kitchen is large and all the appliances work well. Having a full size fridge is a luxury. The location is fantastic: a couple blocks from Hyde Park and walking distance to Natural History Museum. Plus, the passage itself is very idyllic. Lastly, we did contact customer service via their messaging system to ask what to do with the trash and how to check out, but never heard back. Three stars because the place is great, but Canguro hasn’t proven themselves to be a good management company.
