Reviews of Travelodge London Central Southwark

The location is just 100 meters to Southwark subway station and 10 minutes walk to Blackfriars. Restaurants , supermarkets are all in easy reach . It is excellent. Price is good. Rooms are large enough . I would recommend this hotel. Good , reasonable priced choice for families and businessmen in London.

Good location. Rooms are quite large compared to what's typical in London. Breakfast is very complete considering the type of hotel.

It's ridiculous that they charge for Wi-Fi. The room was tiny, but the staff were very nice.

Overall it's pretty good, but there's not much infrastructure.

Our stay has been good at the Travelidge so far, room is okay, breakfast is delicious, employees have been so nice and helpful (shout out to Rianna for the help figuring out the Tube on our first day!) - and especially Nikitha, who helped us with our air conditioner. She prioritized helping us and was so friendly and caring! Thank you, Nikitha and Rianna! Great staff support and kindness!!

Rooms were small but had everything needed and were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Central location was 20-30 minute walk from many must-see London locations.

Lovely stay. Stayed local for a party. Polite staff, Nathan on front desk very helpful ant check out and leaving our luggage. Very easy check in process and very clean room and bathroom. Comfy bed. Overall 10/10. Would stay again.

I had a lovely experience at Travelodge London Southwark. Rianna was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She recommended some great local pubs and genuinely made me feel at home. Her warm and helpful service was the perfect start to my stay. Thank you, Rianna!

Really handy location, clean room with all amenities needed for a one night stay. Rianna was super helpful and apologetic during busy breakfast, and gave us some great tips about the local area and tube delays to avoid!

Staff seriously need training or replacing. Himasha the supposed assistant manager, hasn’t got a clue how to handle complaints. Paid for early check in for 12pm, despite getting there a little later than check in time I couldn’t get my room until after 2.30pm because the rooms were not ready. I had travelled 3 and a half hours to get there and thought i would get some rest beforehand. Reception staff couldn’t help so asked for a manager. Then came along the incompetent assistant manager whom couldn’t handle the pressure despite me explaining that id like a refund. I got rather frustrated and she threatened to throw us out the hotel. Loving the attitude and policies out here. The car park they have for disabled people is in the trash area. Behind locked gates. All the rubbish and trash in there. When I got into my car after check out the car absolutely stank of garbage

We arrived around 3pm and there was queue to check in. The reason being the only staff member seemingly on duty was having to cover reception (check-in and queries) and luggage collection. She handled this all with patience and politeness. We went out for the evening and went to the bar when we returned at approx 11pm. There was no staff serving so I went to reception to find someone. There was no staff there either. After a short while the same member of staff we had seen earlier appeared. It was clear that she was still having to cover all areas and enquiries on her own. She was still polite and friendly all those hours later. Nikita is a credit to the hotel & I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

Not a great stay. The view was great but that meant we were above rail lines into London Bridge station and the trains very noisy and seemed to run all night. Without the aircon on the room did not smell good. We had a snack from the cafe/bar and it wasn't good at all. I found someone else's hair on the shower wall. I dont know why the rate was so high (£355 for 2 nights without breakfast) for the 2 nights we stayed but other hotels were higher or sold out. Next time I'll stay elsewhere.
