We stayed there the first time for a family visit and really enjoyed it. Great location in a peaceful neighborhood. Very nice and quiet room, Jane and Keith are very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast at the nearby EMA cafe (with 15% discount), very good restaurants in walking distance. We will come again!

Jane contacted us within days of booking to establish arrival time. On route she contacted us again to advise us of best way to get there and on arrival gave us more good advice on our stay. The house is in a pleasant location with access to all facilities near by. The room was very clean, well furnished and had tea/coffee available. Overall a pleasant one night stay.

Jane and her husband Keith were very welcoming and provided a superior stay. Immaculate room and amenties. Wonderful breakfast offerings prepared and presented very tastefully. We were given a warm welcome from the moment or host Habe opened the front door. We always look for a comfortable bed and were not disappointed. A good selection of artisan coffees and teas was provided in the bedroom. Complimentary bottles of water, biscuits and chocolates was appreciated. A fine choice of breakfast set us up for the day. We had interesting chats with Jane regarding the local area and surrounds. We have no hesitation in recommending the Lilac Door. Thank you for our lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay here - so quiet and calm. The place is beautifully well cared for, warm and spotless. Bed was extremely comfortable, great pillows, and we could make tea and coffee in the room. Delicious biscuits too, and welcome chocolates! Great attention to detail, such as good reading lights by the bed, and plenty of towels. Jane was very welcoming and friendly, so our stay was a lovely experience. We were sorry we didn't have time for breakfast, as the menu looked super. We definitely hope to stay here again.
