The location is what this hotel has. We unfortunately had a pretty bad experience we found bedbugs in our room. We needed to be relocated. The type of furniture and the old building doesn't help. Still waiting to be compensated after all the hassle. Not recommending it at all, if you have other options book them.

The hotel is charming, with a Christmas 🎄 tree, beautiful lights outside, and a lovely view; the breakfast staff was accommodating, and the reception staff was as well. I will be back next time. Thank you Guys so much. You made my stay very pleased 😘😘I wish you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Hotel is handy for Notting Hill Gate tube being only a 5 minute walk away. The site of the hotel is in a quiet and lovely neighbourhood but is also only a 10 minute walk from Queensway which has lots of pubs and places to eat. Reception staff were helpful and the continental breakfast was fine. The fixtures and fittings of the hotel however are dated and extremely basic. It feels like walking into a 1930s museum. The view from my room was a brick wall about 6 feet away from the window. The room was very warm and the only viable means of ventilation was to wedge the sash window open with the dustbin. Noise from the building, other rooms and trains was audible well into the night. For want of a better word some of the furniture in the room was manky. The desk chair was frankly embarrassing. It was very old and looked like it had been mauled by a tiger. I can’t understand why a hotelier with any integrity would think it was acceptable to furnish a room with such an item. The breakfast room wasn’t large enough however fortunately the garden area had two small tables in it to use and fortunately the weather just happened to be okay to sit outside. In short this hotel is cheap and for a lone traveler who wants a very basic one nights stay it is okay for the price. But personally from my experience I wouldn’t take my family here or stay for more than one night.

Hands down one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. It was dirty, the chair in the room was faded, peeling and sagging. The bed was on an angle and I kept almost rolling off in the night. There was no water from the hot tap to wash your hands and the room was ridiculously hot. The pipes started squealing at 7am. The receptionist couldnt be bothered to end the phone call he was on to his mate to check me in, just carried on chatting away while I stood there like a lemon. Cheap but definitely cheap for a reason. I couldnt bear to stay there another minute so I left before breakfast even though it was included.

Convenient locations, however, the downside is the extended bed is impossible to sleep in for two peoples. Super soft and sinking in the middle, one of us had to sleep on the floor. Not very pleased, after all we paid and expected to have a good night sleep.

Booked 2 nights at this hotel as a solo traveler so I could go see some west end shows and do some sightseeing. The hotel is situated on a quiet square overlooking private gardens and about a 5 minute walk from Notting Hill Gate Tube Station, took about 15 minutes to get into the theatre land area. Short walk to Portobello Road. My room (26) looked out onto a brick wall but I had no problem with this as I could leave the window and curtains open when sleeping as it was warm. Room was small but clean, bed was comfortable, and added bonus was a small fridge. Breakfast was continental, plenty of choice - croissants, toast, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, eggs, cheese and ham. The filter coffee was very nice, also had apple juice, orange juice and water available. I was very happy with my choice of hotel and found it excellent value for money. I would definitely book again.

Stayed here a couple of times recently and it has many great features and advantages. Firstly it is in such a great area, Notting Hill close to Kensington Gardens, Portobello Road market, some lovely bars and restaurants. Secondly the hotel itself is exceedingly good value, very clean with modern fittings, good breakfast and helpful staff. The room and en-suite bathroom were very well appointed and quiet. The room looked out onto Pembridge Square which is a very pleasant small private garden and is a home for a small group of urban foxes.

This is a very lovely looking hotel. However we found the bed very hard and uncomfortable. The pillows unfortunately were the same. Luckily we were that tired each night from walking around London we would have slept on park benches. The staff were lovely I could not fault them. The breakfast which we had each morning wasn’t great. There was only some bread which was slightly stale, slices of cooked ham and slices of cheese and a couple of choices of cereal. That was all there was with a choice of juice, tea or coffee. So it didn’t really fill our tummy’s for the day 😞. The room we had was a large room. However on the last night of our stay in the early hours of the morning, I heard one of my shopping bags rustling so my husband got out of bed to investigate and it seems as though there was a hole in the bag and bits from the paper on the floor, a bit more investigating there were droppings under the cupboard near to where my bag was which was evident there was a mouse. We looked under the wardrobe in the room to find there were poison pellets there so unfortunately the hotel knew there was a problem with mice or other vermin which disappointed us deeply. So we won’t be returning to this hotel unfortunately.
