Reviews of Norfolk Towers Paddington

This is literally a 3* boutique hotel rather than 4*. Location - is perfect, just a few min. walk from Paddington station & mostly flat. There are also some restaurants & cafes within 1min or 2min walk, which is very convenient. Hotel - small, and the walkway to the rooms are narrow. I was given a basement room, which wasn't indicated, but staff is kind enough to change to upper level for me (as though they already expected!) on the 2nd day. There is a restaurant on-site, but other than that, there is no other facilities associated with a 4* hotel Rooms - sone are just in front of the lift (which is pretty old school & slow) and rooms are not sound proof! Any sounds or people talking in the walkway can be clearly heard from the room. One positive point is that rooms are faced away from traffic. I got a Executive Double Room (which is almost £600) but I don't feel its worth this price. Would be nice if complimentary bottled water & room slippers are provided.

Honestly, it's just a tiny guesthouse. The entrance is minuscule. Its only redeeming quality is its proximity to the train station, nothing else stands out! The check-in lobby is tiny. It seems to be run by people of Indian or Pakistani descent. The elevator is small, dirty, and old. Three suitcases are enough to fill it. Initially, we were assigned a room in the small building behind the front desk. After exiting the elevator, we had to drag our large suitcases up a narrow flight of stairs – it was exhausting! The room itself was incredibly long and narrow, less than 2 meters wide. To even get to the bed, you had to go down a few steps first. The bed wasn't big, and it felt cramped on both sides. We requested a room change and got one on the 4th floor of the main building, where the front desk is. Exiting that elevator, the hallway was very narrow, with rooms lining both sides. This room was also very small; once we opened our luggage, it was hard to move around freely. Yet, the price was anything but cheap, nearly 1000 RMB. For just a little over 200 RMB more, you could easily find a Hilton or Sheraton-level hotel in London! I have no idea why Trip.com prominently pushes such a terrible hotel with absolutely no value for money!

5 minutes walk from Paddington. Very good location.

The hotel stay was pleasant. Staff were friendly, and helpful. Location was excellent, convenient and quiet. Walking distance to many good places. We stayed at the new wing of the hotel. Some minor suggestions: 1. Would have been good if hair dryer and disposable slippers were prepared in the room 2. Some USB charger outlets were not working Would come back to stay at Norfolk Towers Paddington again if I was to stay at Paddington. I can recommend this place. Thank you team.

The hotel entrance is quite impressive, but the hallways are very narrow and the elevator is tiny. The room itself was decent. The only major drawback was the terrible Wi-Fi, which was practically unusable. On the positive side, it's close to Paddington and there are plenty of dining options nearby.

Excellent location, very close to Paddington station, making it easy to get to many central areas. The hotel breakfast was decent, and the rooms were nice and clean, though quite small. The staff were very accommodating, and you can leave your luggage in the hotel's storage room after check-out. It's a 20-minute walk to Oxford Street and Hyde Park, and a 15-minute bus ride to Piccadilly Circus.

It’s very close to the Paddington Station which is directly connected to Heathrow Airport. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood. The staffs were very helpful and polite. Breakfast is included. I have requested for iron and they sent it to my room right away.

Nice hotel, with elevator. Rooms were small, as are most in older London hotels, but nicely appointed. As an American, I was pleasantly surprised to see face cloths provided (unusual in the UK). Location is great for Paddington Station. I walked with luggage from the station... no taxi or Uber needed. Area is walkable and plenty to see and do.

Travelling with my dad, enough space. Good location, around 5-6 min from paddington train station.

Excellent hotel, great value for money. Delicious breakfast, clean, and a superb location.

The Wi-Fi in the room was exceptionally bad, probably due to some room-specific issue. The room was so small that I couldn't even open a single suitcase.

Although the location of the hotel is in an excellent position…. Only 5 mins walk to Paddington station…. There is definitely room for improvement.  The staff, although friendly , were a little off hand and when we checked out I was basically ignored.  The lift in the hotel is far too small meaning a long wait or using the stairs with heavy bags.  The room itself was supposed to be an executive room…. Very small and the en-suite was barely useable due to its design… the door opening inwards right onto the sink made it almost impossible to move around to close the door…. Very poor.  I’m glad we were only there for one night.

This hotel is ideally placed off the Heathrow express. Close to the train station and underground. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is spacious and breakfast has everything from toast and cereal and fruit, to yoghurt and cooked bacon eggs beans and mushrooms. There are also additional items such as porridges and smoothies that you can purchase. The executive twin was adequate size for central London. Shower amenities provided as well as a room safe and fridge. I would definitely stag here again. Surrounded by pubs, take always, shops and places to eat.
