Montcalm Brewery, London City

Fantastic location if you want to avoid the touristic crowds of London. The hotel is in the building of an old brewery therefore a charming location. The breakfast room tends to get extremely crowded and a bit chaotic especially if you are in a rush. During our stay there was an issue with the AC but the manager was very helpful and accommodating.

My partner and I recently enjoyed a romantic stay at Montcalm Brewery, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and memorable getaway. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, she was warm, professional, attentive, and always greeted us with a beautiful smile. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. Her outstanding customer service made us feel genuinely welcome and valued throughout our stay. The room service breakfast was another highlight. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and served with great care and attention to detail. It was the perfect way to start the day and added an extra touch of luxury to our romantic break. Leeza is a true asset to the hotel, and her dedication to providing exceptional guest service deserves special recognition. Thanks to her and the entire team, our stay was unforgettable. Cleanliness of bathroom was extremely poor. Usb port remained unfixed for entire stay. Bath plug broken and water couldn't flow freely down plughole. Toilet bowl was badly stained. AC stopped working correctly on 2nd night.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and we would especially like to thank the staff for their warm hospitality and friendly service throughout our visit. There are, however, a few areas where we believe improvements could be made. First, the room we were assigned was not particularly quiet. It overlooked the outdoor drinking area, and during the evenings we could clearly hear conversations and noise from guests. Unfortunately, the single-glazed window did little to block the sound, even when it was closed. Second, we noticed a small housekeeping oversight. The shower contained two bottles of shower gel but no shampoo, while the shampoo had been placed by the sink instead. This seems like something that could easily be caught with a final check during room cleaning. Finally, while the breakfast quality was good, we found the variety somewhat limited for a hotel that positions itself as a five-star property. For example, there was no lactose-free yogurt available, and a wider selection catering to different dietary needs would have been appreciated. We hope these comments are helpful, as we otherwise enjoyed our stay and appreciate the excellent service provided by your team.

Fantastically helpful people. We arrived very early to check in as we were going to my son's wedding. We had to leave the hotel by midday, changed and ready. All this hours before the check-in time. The hotel team worked magic to find us a room to use. Took all of the stress away. What more can I say. Oh, breakfast was a joy, the highest quality, and the hotel was almost full. A great team of people who work to make your stay perfect.
