This is a brilliant boutique hotel. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The bed is very comfortable, the rooms are decorated in the period style, and the breakfast is perfect. Located on a quiet street, short walking to the Portobello Market Area.

This hotel is definitely not luxury as it claims. The decor is lovely and that is where it stops. The room was small and cluttered with an unusable sofa, our bedding was put on inside out, 1 tea bag was provided we had to ask for more and to be fair more came along with the usual hotel biscuits. not enough towels I can go on! It felt like they didn't expect the room to be used and hadn't finished getting it ready. The "turn down" that they offer was bad and not worth saying you offer, it was burnt cold hot chocolate that was not drinkable. Take your own water as what they left was cloudy tap water in a fancy bottle All in all do not waste your money as this is expensive for what you get or don't get!!!

We booked a stay here via Mr & Mrs Smith as a special treat after being poorly over Christmas. I used to live down the road and we have a deep affection for this part of West London. The surroundings, decor and furniture are lovely but that is where the good stops. From check in through to breakfast — our stay was a series of cringeworthy events and responses. Generally we never complain but on this occasion so much was wrong, we felt we had to. Albeit in a very apologetic, polite, typically British way. So disappointing that we were greeted with arrogant dismissals of anything we raised, refusal to communicate and a lock of willingness to take ownership and put right. A 101 on how not to run a hospitality business. Lucky for the Hotel that Mr & Mrs Smith were excellent, stepped in and came to the rescue. Amazing service that we will continue to use. For the money you can do so much better. AVOID.

Such a relaxing stylish hotel. Lovely friendly staff make our stay feel like home from home. Other hotels could benefit learning from this one. Spotlessly clean and well thought through with facilities. I loved that it was professionally managed with a human touch.

We were 3 married couples and booked 3 rooms at the hotel, as soon as we entered the Hotel we were welcome like VIP(we felt very welcome) big thanks to Naim for giving us all the right recommendations, we went to all of them and had a blast! Dwight was very polite all the time helping us with breakfast, the lounge looks like a scene out of a 1960 Hollywood movie, as we entered the rooms we were mesmerized by the beauty and the art work behind them, room 16 was incredibly beautiful, WHAT AN AMAZING HOTEL! Best place I have stayed in my life!. Big Thanks to all the staff! Julia

Staff were okay but not really great customer care or service. Booked for our 3 year anniversary which we noted multiple times in our booking before arriving and we requested a room with a bath if it was possible. Did not receive any confirmation on this or whether it was possible and they didn’t do anything special for our anniversary. They didn’t even acknowledge it or wish us a happy anniversary! For a “luxury” hotel you would expect something. Even like chocolates on the pillows or a nice little card. Anything thoughtful would have been nice and improved the overall experience. Enquired about the bath after seeing our room and we were told the only room with a bath available had the ac unit broken so it was too cold. The bed was comfortable but other than that the room was small and breakfast was unsatisfactory. The lounge area does not accommodate the number of rooms either so we had to eat our breakfast on a tiny side table in two big arm chairs. Just not really a luxury experience in my opinion but at least the bed was comfortable. Wouldn’t really recommend.

What a fabulous hotel and experience except my mattress was awful and they blamed me for not knowing about mattresses in general. Generally if your head is a foot higher than your feet, it’s not restful. I loved so many other things however. But was pretty shocked they did not compensate me for even one night. Sleeping in the sitting position was remedied by much wine. The color of the room has to be changed. Pea green is just ugly and unless I am in a gentlemen’s cigar bar not ok. Bright red, pea green, canary yellow all not cool for sleeping. The dirty carpet also didn’t help. But alas I still loved it. Bizarre but true.

Stayed for a couple of days in December. I have to say I expected better. On arrival we waited a good 5 minute’s before we were greeted with a hi. We had been travelling for a long time due to the trains being delayed and cancelled. I was grumpy. I’m even grumpier now with not having the arrival I wished for. Check in was swift and we were told where our room was and what time breakfast was. Didn’t ask if our luggage could be taken to the room or show us to our room. I didn’t want my breakfast in the lounge with other people at my table so we didn’t eat at all so I can’t comment on the breakfast. Room service wasn’t mentioned. I have now seen that we could have had room service. The room was like a shoe box and freezing the warm air con was on but the room was so cold and even colder with the curtains open so they were closed the whole time while we stayed. The wardrobe I can’t describe that was also the size of a shoe box so we didn’t even bother to unpack which was another annoyance. The bathroom was tiny but the shower was ok and plenty of hot water. The bed was ok and the pillows were comfy. The rates you pay for this place I would have hoped for a lot more but unfortunately our experience was not a good one.

Great service and perfect location. We had a ground floor room - it was much smaller than any of the photos I’d seen and the bathroom was so tiny there wasn’t even space to get changed in there. Paid £269 for one night and expected a bit more from the photos on the website. Continental breakfast was good value for two people.
