The room was clean and spacious, the facilities were clean, the front desk staff were very friendly, and the bar was also very nice.

I booked this hotel again when I came to London. The room on the first floor is very warm in winter. It is not cold even without clothes. However, if you are not here to apply for a Schengen visa, the location is a bit off. It takes 40 to 50 minutes to get to Big Ben.

The room is quite good in London. It is very close to the visa center. It is highly recommended for Schengen visa application. The only drawback is that there is no elevator. Don't choose this option if you have heavy luggage.

Stayed with my daughter for three nights in a twin bed room. Lovely room, well appointed with aircon. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Friendly helpful staff. Being a historic Victorian building there is no lift only stairs. Well situated to a shopping centre, large Sainsbury’s, and bus route that connects you to all stations .

We stayed for a couple nights at the Spread Eagle, in a bigger boutique room, which was fab. Super clean, great facilities, and loved the big bath tub! Check in and out was easy and the receptionist was very accommodating. However, the food was of no such similarity. We had the set menu which was £19 for 2 courses, and were very disappointed. The starter was frozen on top and practically inedible, and our mains looked like it came from a takeaway shop. 25 mins after it was ordered we were told the Chef couldn’t cook my chicken dish as he had ‘started something else..’. We’ve eaten at Youngs pubs before and expected similar high standard food, but this wasn’t the case. Staff were kind enough to amend the bill after we raised the issues, but overall disappointed with the service. Highly recommend staying here, but would give the restaurant a miss.

Great place to stay, rooms very well decorated and comfortable. Pub was lovely to sit in during the day if raining!!! All staff excellent, welcoming and helpful.

What a wonderful find, the rooms are so well thought out!! All detail is great how the shower taps are position to, having a low bathroom floor light for night! Really comfy and beautiful decorated rooms. Break was served in the stunning bar area and it was beautiful. Our server and reception team were so helpful and just lovely. Well done I will be back.

A wonderfully warm, comfortable and ideally located hotel. I felt very welcome. It was well positioned for public transport and easy to find

If you want a London Pub experience then drop into the Spread Eagle in Wandsworth, I needed a one night stay with easy access to central London, from on line check in to the personal service all was excellent. Nothing seemed to be a problem, I didn't get a chance to sample the sunday lunch but it looked and smelled delicious, next time I hope. The room was lovely, the bed extremley comfortable, I will be back, thank you!

Spent 2 nights in October. Great stay. Would definitely recommended it as your 1st option if Wandsworth is the area you want to stay in. The staff were all very helpful, room was very comfortable and clean. In fact, we were given a room upgrade which was a real treat.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel, the rooms were very clean, cozy, no noise from other rooms and no strange smell.We slept very well on good and clean beds. The bathroom was also very clean en modern . The staff was very friendly and helpful if we had any questions. We felt very safe because there was someone at the reception day and night. Pub diners were very tasty and a lot of choice.Breakfast was also very lovely you can choose warm or cold.There is also an nice outside garden you can sit at and have a drink, you can also sit at the authentic pub itself. A lot of shops in the neighborhood . We've been there for 8 days to visit London city , there was a good connection with bus,train and tube. Great hotel would highly recommend and all the staff were super friendly and happy - the beds were super comfy, the decor was chique, and the food was on point we had a lovely steak dinner and a full English breakfast absolutely no complaints at all. Easily accessible to all transport links.

I have never felt so unsafe in a hotel. After making a simple complaint about my room, the male receptionist’s behaviour quickly became aggressive and intimidating. Instead of resolving the issue, I was treated in a way that left me shaken and frightened. When I tried to escalate, management chose to remove me rather than protect me as a paying guest. Despite me raising this with the police and the hotel’s head office, the staff member involved is still working there. This makes it very clear that customer safety is not their priority. I would strongly warn others against staying here — if something goes wrong, you cannot rely on this hotel to put your safety first.

Yet another great stay at the Spread Eagle. Lovely bed rooms, sparkly clean and tastefully fitted out. Crispy white linen bed sheets and towels, really comfy bed has a great nights sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with a decent choice. I had Full English which kept me fuelled until the ending. Friends of ours stay there too now. We will be back again in November
