Ocean Place Resort & Spa

Was an amazing hotel! So beautiful and the spa was super relaxing!!!

I had to get housekeeping to come clean the floors as they weren’t clean. Coffee spill on nightstand. Otherwise the room was clean. Comfy pillow and bed. Beautiful view. Quick check in. Room service food was great.

The hotel is downgraded a lot. The room and the bathroom is small. The A/C and mini fridge have to wait very long time to cool. The shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap, etc are not the separate package, pump out from a big bottle. Parking is good, close and private. Staff and housekeeping are helpful.

Felt the building was dated. Additionally, the toilet was running the entire time and my room didn’t get serviced.

The pool is on serious need of repair - the walls and ceiling are breaking in multiple areas. Staff were not polite or eager to offer any interaction except for one individual. No food available in the morning for breakfast then told no food in the evening for an hour due to no one around to serve. Broken hairdryer and broken toilet. Never again - crazy money for basically a bed

The pool area was in bad need of repair - the ceiling and walls both broken and messy. No food available for breakfast. An hour to wait for dinner if we wanted to wait but not because it was busy - no staff available. Public area toilets dirty. Staff unfriendly except for one. Hairdryer broken and toilet stopped flushing. I wouldn’t return.

Came late at the evening, had to wait for at least 20 min for someone to come over to the front desk (there was “away, sorry for inconvenience” sign) and I don’t think I ever seen that in any other hotels (specially considering the price). Then was given probably the worse room in the hotel with a total zero view (208), when the hotel was totally empty and no possibility to open the balcony door (I didn’t even think this hotel had rooms like that), then came back and switched the rooms. Front desk wasn’t pleasant at all! I would expect a better service, specially that we see that kind of service at Waves (where we stay a lot). Absolutely not acceptable!!

My husband and I had a lovely stay! Staff was very nice and they even let us check in early and upgraded our room for our anniversary! The was super clean and quiet. We will be visiting again.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Best view for the ocean. Good food places within walking distance. That being said, it seems like management or ownership is always trying to be cheap on maintaining the place. Rooms have been renovated from when we were there few years ago, but they seem to miss on the small details that can improve the experience significantly. For example, bedding, mattress, pillows are all cheap items and uncomfortable. Toiletry products smell bad and lack the quality. Balcony was dirty with cheap furniture....etc. This place can be the best destination in the entire east coast if management invested more into quality maintenance, products and overall experience. In summary, although location is unique and superb with wonderful view, it's too expensive for the low quality rooms and experience. Might be back ... will see!
