Reviews of Hotel MDR Marina del Rey- a DoubleTree by Hilton

I stayed at Hotel MdR Marina del Rey - a DoubleTree by Hilton from April 3 to April 6, 2026. I kept the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door the entire time and only removed it on April 6 so the staff could refill toiletries, tissues, empty the trash, and do basic cleaning. I trusted Hilton’s professionalism and left my personal items and two very meaningful rings on the desk. When I returned to the room after housekeeping, everything had been cleaned — but my two rings were gone. I searched the room carefully for over half an hour but could not find them. My first reaction was deep regret for trusting the hotel so completely. Unfortunately, I had no photos as proof. What makes this especially heartbreaking is that the rings are not valuable in terms of gold or silver — they hold immense sentimental value. One was custom-made with friends, and the other was a special anniversary gift from my girlfriend. They are irreplaceable memories. I immediately reported it to the front desk. They said they would look into it, but I honestly don’t expect anything to come of it. I feel deeply disappointed and heartbroken. I am not asking for compensation. I just want to warn other guests: please be extremely careful with your valuables in this hotel. The only positive thing is the convenient location. Everything else — especially trust and service — would receive a very low rating from me.

It is in a good location. AC was a little noisy, but everything was okay. It is a good place for to sleep for traveling to next destination.

I'm familiar with Marina del Rey, so everything went smoothly. It was great that I could book seamlessly through Trip.com! The room was spacious but old. The pool was clean and nice. I could clearly hear the conversations from the next room. The front desk staff were unfriendly, but I guess that's just how it is.

The hotel's interior was clean and the location was great. The room was spacious, which made for a comfortable stay.

Conveniently located & very clean! Service was wonderful, friendly, and I’m especially thankful that they were so accommodating to travelers arriving very early from the airport!!

Pillows and bed are comfortable, however, 2 of 4 pillows both have light brown dirts or a bit red dirts as well.. I can even smell it while sleeping..

bad experience, no hot water and promise me a discount but didn't refund to me , and still have charge on something I don't know. very bad

I don’t feel it’s Hilton level. The rooms are just standard, some are noisy. The service quality varies from a guy for member checkin who was professional and friendly. At normal checkin the service was simply bad and somehow did not like me or probably any customer. For 250 usd a night, it’s not worth it.

Good location, close to airport and Costco. Room is clean.

Restaurants nearby hotel,Pavilions and CVS. Short walking distance towards bus station. We stay 4 nights didn’t know room cleaning required to pre-book with reception so only 1 time full cleaning. We call reception to provide new shower towels nothing happened. Room are dusty and my comforter are lumpy request to change nothing happened

Clean and convenient location for people who has a car. They don’t give you a 5 dollar gift shop voucher even if you opt in to no-room cleaning. Then, why do they advertise it?? See pic. If they stopped the service, don’t say so. Breakfast is wonderful. You are expected to pay tip.
