Carlyle Inn

The hotel location is very good. There is a really nice Thai restaurant across the street. There are many Cafes in vicinity. The hotel has a very good coffee machine where you can get cappuccino, late, hot chocolate etc. In the afternoon happy hour, you can get beer or a glass of wine. Although the hotel is on a busy street, I got a very quite room. There is an elevator that is important to me with knee issues. On the first floor, there is a courtyard setting outside the rooms so you can sit to have breakfast. The hotel is 1.7 mile of walking distance to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Highly recommended.

This place was great for the price.  I was pleasantly surprised with how cute the hotel was and the amenities they offered.  Clean safe rooms, great location.  Super nice staff. I will stay here again!

We were disappointed by the upkeep of the hotel.

Photos of the property accurately depict decor but the hotel is dingy, the courtyard looks terrible and is very unappealing. So glad I at least had a room with exterior window (even if it was just the alley) because the rooms with interior windows have less privacy.

Room and bathroom were very clean. The property itself just needs some updating, finishes were not of a high quality. Overall though we felt very safe in the neighborhood and our room was very quiet.
