Great hotel! Convenient parking (locked with gates), clean, good amenities (iron, fridge, coffee maker with coffee and teas, hairdryer, iron, shared microwave), very good breakfast (cereals, yogurt, fruits, waffles, eggs and sausage patties, bagels and cream cheese). Also, it has onsite restaurant with a 50% dining offer for guests.

Could easily be zero stars. Original room was 93 degrees upon check in, the air conditioning unit was poor by anyone's standard, we asked to switch rooms. They did not offer to come get our bags, or move us to a new room so we brought our luggage back down to the front desk. We were then given a second room. Again, no offer made to accompany us and see if the new room was up to standards. This room was 92 degrees upon entry. After a second phone call, they sent up staff to change the filters on the AC unit. That team told us the AC was functioning well and blowing cold air (it was blowing cold air as if you had a few ice cubes in your mouth and blew on my neck) and to use the blackout curtains (after a sort of condescending explanation of what blackout curtains do) and give it some time for the AC to work. We went out to dinner for about two hours and came back to a nice cool 87 degree room. We once again took our belongings back downstairs. We were then told by the front desk staff that since we booked a room with a king size bed all of those rooms faced the sun and would all have similar problems (why would that be an acceptable answer?) and they could do nothing more for us since they accommodated us once already. I had no idea their idea of accommodating someone was to put them in a room with the same problem that the previous room had but what do I know, I am not in the hospitality industry. We were then told that the hotel was completely booked so no further ”accommodations” could be made. We asked for a refund and this is the first time they reacted with some conviction, they were happy to let us leave. Must be nice to be able to turn away business. At no time were there any apologies, any remorse, just matter-of-factly let us leave. My wife and I don't argue or yell, we never feel its worth it, but we left angry and hotel-less on a Saturday night in Los Angeles. We scrambled to find a new hotel but the damage was done, they took our entire Saturday away from us, which no refund could ever compensate for, they temporarily took our joy to be in town on our own as we are parents and do not get much time away. We did take our business elsewhere, to a Hilton, they seem to understand that to relax you need a room that is slightly cooler than a sauna. We were able to salvage the remaining days of our trip. Also the elevators at the Freehand are old (charming?) and constantly in use because of the rooftop bar so it took us waiting for a few packed elevators to get up and down to the hot AF rooms which probably added to our level of frustration. But it was mostly the Sahara like environment of the hot room. Did I mention the rooms were hot? Also maybe use a free hand to open a book on what hospitality looks like, I think your staff may be surprised. (see what I did there?)

Perfect place for a shuttle airport hotel! Shuttle very 15 minutes and a great place to prepare for a trip. Pool and bar is nice. Spent way more on drinks and food than I imagined but not much around… it was fair in the end. Great bar staff.

The front desk service of the hotel is good, but the hygiene condition is not very good. The bed sheets were not changed even after staying for 5 consecutive nights. When booking the hotel, the destination tax was clearly included, but when checking out, I was still charged 30 US dollars per night. Ctrip customer service promptly refunded me (according to the real-time exchange rate) Parking costs 60 US dollars a night. We parked in the parking lot behind the hotel. If you park before 12 pm until the next morning, you need to pay 40 US dollars. You can choose to park after 12 pm until the next morning. Then The price is $20. I have to say that parking in downtown is really expensive. The security around downtown is not very good either.

It was a Great Hotel, the location is great, very well connected to subway, lots of restaurant and fast-food around. The rooms and the facility is great, especially the 7th floor pool deck the staff there are very friendly, room is very comfortable and spacious, clean, have all amenities I needed, including the slippers which I used for the pool side. Some of the receptionist are very friendly, courteous especially the girl who extended my checkout time and the gentlemen Manny they made me feel home, also the concierge gentleman, I am from Asia and you definitely need people like them to make you comfortable. on the other had there were some receptionist who don't even want to smile, a smile cost nothing, it is because of these couple of them that the hotel might not get the guest back. Over all I will for sure come back again and there is no need for me to stay in other places, i use to stay in sheraton grand, but now I recommend this hotel and also myself will stay here again for sure. Very suitable for multi-day long stay itineraries. I also read a lot of reviews before booking, and the opinions of previous people were all very solid. The location is in the city center and life is very convenient. There will be homeless people on the street, but it’s nothing in broad daylight. We often hear police sirens. In fact, it is normal in urban areas in the United States. They will be dispatched if anything happens, as if it is a big deal. I am quite satisfied that the room is large enough, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the nearby grocery shopping, subway, and shopping mall May's are only 5 or 6 minutes' walk away. The price is also reasonable, which is great!

Frondesk Staff is unprofessional and unfriendly, During the stay housekeeping banging the Door around 7am in the morning when to the front desk making complaint didn't get any satisfy answer, specifically there's front desk staff just looking at me with stone face no smile just looking at me ,not even saying anything polite , no words, nothing !! ,i stood over there more than 5 minutes, finally one staff asking me did i need help ?! very unprofessional !!!

Rooms actually look nice like the pictures. The outside looks a bit rough, but I like that the parking lot is right below. Cynthia checked me in and was patient with me and checked me in fast. I requested a room by the smoking area and an iron and extra towel at check in and by the time I reached my room the housekeeper already was waiting for me at my room door. I will be staying here again. It beats a lot of the motels on Century Blvd, and rooms are super clean.

Have stayed here many times over the last 8-9 years. Never again. Originally, parking was free. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast, except one time, was very good, and included with diamond Hilton honors status. Now, parking is almost 20 bucks for a big, open lot. Staff barely looked up from their phones or computer to acknowledge our existence. And the breakfast was not only horrible, but 20 bucks with only a 10 dollar credit for something hot. If you're going to eat there, do not upgrade from continental. I felt so ripped off. The breakfast used to be a nice buffet, with an order window where you could order anything hot. Now, the low quality buffet (think, hard melon, not a berry or banana in sight) is complemented by table service allowing you to order one poorly made item from the menu. My over medium eggs were cooked until the whites were brown and the yolks were hard and dry. They were also floating in an artificial, butter-like substance. My requested bacon-crisp was over cooked into a cross between jerky and briquette. The server asked if I wanted it remade, but I don't believe a cook that would serve that plate can be trusted to remake my food. The room was marginally clean and needs to be refreshed with new paint, bedding, furnishings, etc. Time to move on. Just ordered a Marriott card.

A small hotel run by Chinese people. It has its own small yard for parking. It is full of cars at night. There is a small swimming pool. The building is not new and the facilities are not new, but the service is attentive. Although the breakfast is Western style, But there is also Chinese porridge, hot coffee and free instant noodles.
