It was an ok resort- the adults only pool was heated and well maintained. People at the resort start saving lounge chairs at  6 am which is annoying as hell. The food was decent- especially the Mexican food was well seasoned. The staff were mostly friendly. Music was crappy 80s soft rock but I guess that fit the clientele.

There were broken and overly worn out stuff in the bedrooms. Food quality/variety at buffet was questionable though better at the a la carte restaurants. Cheap liquor options.

Our stay at Kristal Grand was truly unforgettable! Special thanks to Chief Concierge Mario Cortes — he assisted us with every request, helped us upgrade to a stunning ocean-view room, and arranged a late check-out so we could enjoy the resort even longer before our flight. The hotel itself is outstanding: delicious food, more restaurants than we could try in one stay, daily changing entertainment for both kids and adults, warm and chlorine-free pools, spotless grounds, and incredibly kind and friendly staff. Our young son quickly made friends, and the water playground became his favorite spot. We also booked a pirate show tour through the hotel — it was an amazing experience! The hotel room was shabby, with a broken toilet, broken faucets, and a clogged drain. I requested an early check-out, but they only offered to move me to a new room and refused to let me leave. Luckily, I had insurance.

Facilities a little old, but good for the price, the concierge of the altitude category, terrible, it is not worth paying more to receive nothing extra. Anyone can go up. At the altitude tower they never ask you for wristbands, except for “premium drinks” which are few and far between… Many waiters, but almost no attention, zero activities, bar closes very early, a lot of noise on certain levels due to the ventilation, the elevator in the altitude tower did not work for 1 day. There are 8 floors. Buffet always the same thing every day, dinners in restaurants are the same as in the buffet only a la carte and it takes up to 30-1hr waiting even when the place is not full, you have to go to the bottom of the lobby to do reservations for restaurants, with the cocierge in case of altitude, but you never feel that “plus” of extra payment, small rooms more than in the one you see in photos, but they do their job. For high season and what you pay, it's not worth it, for low season and the cost is somewhat fair.

The location of the hotel is very good, the sea view room is very close to the sea. But the hotel lacks maintenance, the facilities are old and the balcony chairs are dirty and rusty. I was looking forward to the all-inclusive option, but apart from the buffet options, dinner was really terrible! The pizza made in Italian restaurants is worse than buying frozen pizza from the supermarket.
