My surprise birthday for my husband was perfect. From the champagne charcuterie to Tequila, Rich was very pleased. Shout out to our team of butler service Francisco Ricardo Jesus Abraham keeping on top of things. Sinue welcoming us. Rinna amazing also Regina showing us around the properties. Our Waiters Eduardo Carlos Antonio. Our vacation was a beautiful experience for the 1st time visiting We will definitely come back again. Thank you ALL!!

This was our second time staying at Casa Maat and once again it was a great stay. The butler staff is wonderful they really take care of everything: Shout out to all of them: Jesus, Abraham and Francisco. Thanks for making our stay great. Only difference this year was we came about two weeks later (the third week of March) and it was much more crowded. Therefore not always a table outside for breakfast and noticed people saving lounge chairs early. Got out one morning at 10:15 and almost all the chairs were already reserved. Just be aware that spring break time definitely makes a difference.

We could not have picked a better resort for our honeymoon. The service was unmatched, the weather was beautiful, and the hotel amenities offered all that we could have needed. Being tucked away in a more exclusive part of the resort but still having access to the beautiful JW pools, gym, and spa was great. Everything felt like it was on our time and at our pace. A perfect honeymoon or couples getaway destination.

My husband and I celebrated My 30th birthday at Casa Maat and it was the most unforgettable birthday. This was our second time staying at Casa Maat and upon arrival, many of the staff members immediately remembered us which was so nice. On my birthday, I was surprised with the most beautiful ballon display, stunning roses, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room. The staff was incredible at privately communicating with my husband to pull the surprise off and it was a success because I had no idea! Before going to dinner on the property I was told there was another surprise waiting for me downstairs and we were surprised with a delicious piece of cake and champagne. I couldn’t have asked for a more special birthday! On top of enjoying a wonderful birthday, each day we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and always received incredible service for any request we had. The staff is always so friendly and helpful with whatever we might need. And the food is so delicious. One of my favorites from the pool menu is the Baja fish tacos! Each night, they also have a theme dinner and you can enjoy complimentary food that is delicious and drinks from an open bar. Our first night there, we enjoyed tacos and quesadillas and were even able to watch one of the NFL playoff games. Thank you so much Casa Maat for another incredible stay and making my 30th birthday so memorable. We will continue to come back and highly recommend Casa Maat to others! You won’t be disappointed.

We loved staying at Casa Monte the Butler service the food in the club and a private pool area. Make it absolutely worthwhile and outstanding. Including all breakfast snacks and dinner is a super huge help. If you are on a short trip like we were staying around the hotel was just great for us on our 40th anniversary The other bonuses of the trip were a lovely dinner at the JW restaurant live music playing in several areas. And Pickleball courts! They do not mention on their website nor do they show a photo. I should’ve taken one. Oops Francisco and the Butler team were above and beyond the rooms were sufficient cozy. I thought I had booked Ocean view however it seemed like I got resort view, but in any case it was lovely, we had one hour extra for checkout so our three night trip was complete. We also visited the spa and my hot rocks. Massage was one of the best I’ve ever had. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely as well. The lobster not overwhelmingly large but tasty. My husband had the white fish and it was wonderful as well. The service there also outstanding. I highly recommend searching this out only 25 minutes from the airport. (We also took an Uber into town one evening for a lovely dinner at Jazmin’s)

The service is responsive, prompt, as well as attentive to details. They were able to provide a new iron quickly, and answer our other questions. The team is communicative on WhatsApp. The food is delicious, the juice bar (coconut drink is mana from nature) and omelette stations in the morning are heavenly. We recommend staying here!

Not only is Casa Maat beautiful, relaxing and a hotel we would visit every year, the butler service is outstanding and over the top. Very professional, polite, helpful, attentive but not intrusive. In our experience, we moved to another hotel in Cabo San Lucas to meet up with family. We left articles of clothing at Casa Maat by mistake. The butlers at Casa Maat arranged transportation for us at our non-Marriott affiliated hotel in San Lucas to take the 45 minute drive back to pick up our clothing and then on to the airport a week after we left Casa Maat. This is service! Thank you to Abraham and the team of butlers who assisted us during our stay.

We were thrilled with our six night stay at Casa Maat. We were greeted by our butler, Abraham upon arrival and subsequently taken care of by Francisco, Ricardo and Jesus. They were attentive, courteous and extremely helpful. Our room was impeccable and the housekeeping staff was fantastic. The turndown service in the evening was a nice treat. The waitstaff took wonderful care of us-Antonio, Christian, Anahi, Carlos, Adrian and Samander provided fantastic service and were constantly tending to us. The pool area is beautiful and so quiet and uncrowded. We appreciated Luis who made sure our towels were laid out and was constantly adjusting the umbrellas for us. My husband and I had a wonderful vacation-met some great new friends and were treated to the best service we have experienced. We both feel like this was the best vacation we have ever taken. We look forward to returning soon!

This was our first stay at Casa Maat but definitely won’t be our last. We enjoyed this quaint and quiet boutique hotel, but the jewel of our stay was the management and staff. Everyone is always eager to help and assist, with a special shout out to Francisco. He was always available to us and ready to help however we needed.

This was a top tier experience, the staff were lovely and the rooms were gorgeous. I cannot wait to come back. The staff went above and beyond for me and my sick mother, even going out of their way to buy appliances so that we had our home comforts around. Abraham looked after us making it a luxury experience.

We were two families with three younger teens between us, looking to vacation during east coast K-12 (not college) spring break (the week before Easter, the week of Passover). In researching, San Jose del Cabo seemed to match our desire to relax and get away without plunging us or our younger kids into the Cabo party scene (at 15, they can't and over 50, we can't like we used to...) Casa Maat obviously came highly rated and recommended, and we loved that it was not a timeshare resort. We were a little concerned that the hybrid-AI would be unnecessarily cumbersome, but prices were attractive or our week, so we booked it. The resort was fairly empty, so there was no difficulty with chairs, certainly not on the Casa Maat side of the wall (show in the picture as the Griffin wing), nor on the JW side. PROS: ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING SERVICE! ZITLALI, ADRIAN, MONSERRAT, ANTONIO As many others have attested, the PEOPLE make this resort wonderful! SPECIAL MENTIONS: Zitlali, Adrian, Monserrat, and Antonio, all working at the Myama Lounge and Casa Maat pool. My goodness- these have to be the most delightful, hardest working servers in SJD. Zitlali took the time to learn each guest's name and remembered us day to day. We just got back yesterday and we MISS THEM SO MUCH! Butler service is part of Casa Maat, but aside from a few minor requests, we did not have much need to avail ourselves of their services. I'm sure if we were chartering excursions or needing nightly transportation, they would've been wonderful. They were exceptionally responsive to our few requests-- connected by WhatsApp, they are truly there at guests' fingertips. (Our team was Francisco, Abraham, Jesús, and Ricardo) CASA MAAT INCLUSIONS = WORTH IT FOR US! The nightly themed dinners have been described as everything from "light" to "just a cup of soup." They were three courses and plenty of food, even for teenagers, as long as they're willing to try a few things interesting and different. I will add the menu from our week in the photos. It was certainly filling enough for us the nights we did not leave the property. I had a shrimp allergy and they handled it seamlessly. I wish we'd been more creative and discerning with the premium happy hour each night from 6:00-8:00. They can make absolutely anything and the drinks were very good. (Note my comment on the daytime drinks from Kaha Bar below). Domestic beers (Modelo, Corona, Tecate, Dos Equis), decent wines, all water, sodas- Adrian, Antonio, and Zitlali kept icy drinks of all kinds flowing throughout the day. Breakfast was plentiful (just a tad repetitive). The woman who made smoothies April 13-16 whose name I neglected to get was OUTSTANDING. Again, I wish I'd been more creative! They can make anything. Eggs or omelettes to order were a great way to start the day. They do offer tasty sandwiches, though no one announces this or offers them to you. Let me disclose, this is my 5th trip to Casa Maat, a small section approx. 40 room hotel of the JW Marriot resort complex. Casa Maat is a gated quiet area, with its own pool and hot tub, seating areas with fire pits, amidst the palm trees and private lounge area. What Casa Maat is a quiet resort for middle aged to older ADULTS seeking enjoyable relaxation. Casa Maat is not for babies and kids. There are no kids’ activities, splash pads, playgrounds. People do not enjoy your kids crying, temper tantrums, whining and misbehavior while parents sit idly by and ignore the problem. Turning this to an ADULT only property would be wonderful. So why have I returned so many times? Simple: It’s the people. Most longtime employees, we know by name and they remember us. When I have returned, I am greeted by the same people, who remember me by name. They go out of there way to ask what they can do to make my stay a great experience. It all starts when you are picked up by a staff of butlers who take you to a private check-in area. They show you to your room and happily show you around the property. The pool and service staff are so accommodating and pleasant to be around. The breakfast and afternoon snack service is very good, the 6-8 PM open bar service is included in the room rate. Again, everyone is so nice. However, the only 2 issues I have is they haven’t replaced the ice machines in Casa Maat and the evening meal menu is very bland and needs some tweaking. Coming from the fourth floor back to the lounge, to get a cup of ice is inconvenient. The evening menu varies, night to night, but lacks the variety and culinary experience one would get in a regular restaurant in most upscale SJD establishments. Be advised there really isn’t any permanent kitchen facility there and this is probably the only solution. Just be aware of this. Am told the pool is getting renovated in 2025, which has been needed. The staff here is amazing and they have treated us so well.

Fantastic!! That's what I would call our anniversary stay at Casa Maat. Every single person that we came into contact with gave the best customer service. You also get access to all of the JW Marriott property amenities which was awesome. We met several people visiting that frequent Casa Maat (2-4xs). The whole premises was clean and maintained well. The reviews mentioning the rooms needing renovations did not understand the designs of Jim Olson. We will definitely be returning and recommended the hotel to all of our friends. Make sure you book a reservation at Acre... you will not be disappointed.

Casa Maat is a truly exceptional ‘all inclusive’ experience inside the JW Marriott. Jesus, Francisco, and the entire butler staff is always working to take care of every request and making sure the stay is perfect. The food was amazing … fresh juices, pastries, ceviche, afternoon chips and guacamole along with 4 course dinners every night. The pools were exceptional and we even used the calming spa pools and sauna. And to top it all off, we saw whales swimming right from the pool. I can’t wait to book our next stay back at Casa Maat!
