Aparthotel El Cerrito

We stayed a sea view apartment - the view was absolutely beautiful and I would definitely recommend this upgrade. The pool facing ones, particularly in the lower block are in the shade most of the day and I would imagine are quite dark. The balcony was huge with a table and chairs and we spent lovely evenings there. The apartment itself was exceptionally spacious and was very comfortable. The self catering facilities are basic but entirely sufficient. Cleanliness was great. The bathroom was a shower over bath but actually the shower was excellent. Worth noting there is no lift so there are several flights of stairs to navigate if you are on level 3/4 as we were but this wasn’t a problem for us. We were able to get late checkout until 5pm which only cost 20€ and the staff in reception are super friendly. We walked past a number of places lower down (El Cerrito is up a slight hill - you can take the steps as a short cut or walk just down the hill to the Main Street) but we much preferred the elevated position of this complex over those lower and closer to the coast. There are two supermarkets you can be at in minutes and the beach is a ten minute walk. The coastal path is well maintained and makes for a lovely walk. Echoing the previous review it is a very small town and very quiet but we had a lovely few days regardless. Would recommend these apartments.

The apartments are really spacious, big bedroom, lounge area and balcony was big too. The pool area and all around the apartments are clean, lovely tiles throughout. Very clean, reception friendly. This doesn’t affect my review but there isn’t much happening in the local area, few restaurants down the hill and a few more by the beach area. Great apartments.

Stayed one week in a spacious, clean apartment with a balcony and a great sea view. Housekeeping was every other day, staff were friendly and the apartments are close to amenities including two small supermarkets and a bus stop. A taxi from the airport was c10 euros and we took the bus to the airport when leaving for 1.50 euros each.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful holiday at the El Cerrito Apartments, in Los Cancajos,La Palma. What a fantastic place... its beautiful, it's spotless, it's in a fab location and the staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. A very special thank you to Mirriam who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her and as hers was the first face we saw when we arrived we knew immediately we were in for a good stay. Our apartment was one bedroom but it was a very good size. Large living area dining space and kitchen. Large bedroom, large bed and a sea view. The balcony was huge with table and chairs and a pool view. We had such a good time we were reluctant to leave and will definitely return. It's just 4 km from the airport... a £8 taxi ride - so don't pay travel agent's airport transfer prices (£70)!! The wonderful main town of Santa Cruz La Palma is just a 6k bus ride away at £1.50 each way. We highly recommend the El Cerrito Apartments if you are lucky enough to be visiting the Isla Bonita of the Canaries.
