We have stayed here before in better times when the restaurant and bar were open and you could order wine or beer and a snack and sit on the outdoor patio. We had a suite which was roomy for a party of 3 for 3 nights. We enjoyed the fireplace. The best feature of this lodge is the open grassy area that all the buildings face. It is lovely. The rooms do need updating, however. In our room we could have used a coffee table and there was a big draft coming in from under the door. Simple weather stripping would fix this. We know times are hard & we did enjoy having a patio to sit on and used the lawn area for a picnic.

Breakfast is a very simple cold meal, placed on a small table in the lobby, only boxed cereals with yogurt, apples, snacks or something. It's better to go to the cafe to eat hot. Room air conditioners and refrigerators are noisy enough to affect sleep. There is a parking lot. The location is very good, opposite the large lawn of high school, very close to downtown. When checking in, you must ask for a room with a balcony. Otherwise the window is very small, as long as you stay, you will not change rooms.

I am in love with this hotel and the staff. I don't know them personally but after staying here a few times I feel the customer service is on point. The breakfast is fabulous. Everyone takes their time to greet you and make you feel comfortable; especially a lady name Regina I believe her name is who always asks how everything is or went. Super fabulous customer service on every end; cleaning staff, kitchen staff, front desk, etc. I am a happy camper!
