Sadly, we used to come here yearly as a tradition to see lights under Louisville. Now, with new owners they aren’t decorating much for holidays. Food places are only open until 10pm. No place has food in this giant hotel past 10pm. No place around was open past 10. The room was not used in a long time clearly. Bo soaps? No body wash, all empty. One conditioner has a kitten at the bottom.
The staff was blah… no one told us to use our room key at check in to go up on the elevator. The staff we asked where restaurants are said you had to walk half a block to eat at the restaurant that is still attached to the hotel. So, we walked outside in the rain to try to get there before they were closed. No vending machines for snacks or essentials. Everything closes early on weekends as well. Called operator to bring toothpaste to our room that already had no soap, body wash and they told me I needed to get dressed and go buy the toothpaste at their store in an hour when they open. Poor customer service , poor business management, and ownership. I made sure to let our company know we will no longer allow our
traveling staff to stay here. It ends up costing even more having to go out of their way after travel to find food, necessities and things that should be already supplied by the hotel.
SUPER disappointing, and last stay for sure. Very depressing atmosphere, very cold and basic contemporary plastic frames on pictures, print photos. Just a huge disappointment. Don’t stay at Galt
