Le Galinier Lourmarin, a Beaumier Guesthouse

Fabulous room with great view and perfect location! We stayed 6 nights and used Lourmarin as a base to see some of the surrounding countryside. Very peaceful and beautiful guesthouse- we will definitely come back with our family!

Super location, property, service. Amazing stay. Stunning pool. Just check the rooms you select carefully for steep stairs or WC separated from the bathroom unit. Some rooms seem to be designed for longer stays. Only missing sleepers and bathrobe for comfort. Otherwise, superb. Peaceful, private and beautiful. The real treat is the night sky - a communion with the stars, a cosmic epiphany.

Having never visited the South of France including Provence, there were high expectations heading into our trip 3 weeks ago. I knew we were going to love it but I didn't realize how much we would fall in love with Lourmarin and especially Le Galinier. From the moment we checked in, we knew we had found the perfect place for us. The property is absolutely gorgeous with trees, gardens, tons of outdoor space and a fabulous pool and cabana area. We stayed in the two story La Grange which was absolutely huge, beautiful and made us feel right at home. We didn't need to worry about anything as our kitchen came with wine glasses, bottle openers and everything we would need to make dinner after a fantastic first day we spent mostly at the Lourmarin market day which happens each Friday. We picked up wine, fresh bread, fresh cheeses and a rotisserie chicken I'm still dreaming about all of which gave us one of the most special dinners of our lives. Everything about Le Galinier provides you with a place of peace, of relaxation, of time slowing down. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious with fresh coffee, pastries, fruits, eggs. Honestly though, the best part of Le Galinier are the wonderful people who work hard and take care of everything. House Manager, Marie-Lise, was the absolute best host, making us feel right at home, giving us recommendations on where to eat, which villages to visit or even which local Rosè and Chablis wines to try during our visit. She was wonderful! And receptionist, Geraldine, made check in/check out and everything else we needed or had questions about so easy. Both Marie-Lise & Geraldine are warm, lovely people who made our stay even better. If fact, the entire Le Galinier team are awesome. Thank you all for the perfect introduction to Provence and especially to Lourmarin. We can't wait to come back and see you all again - and stay at Le Galiner, of course ;) P.S. Our weekend yoga class with Christine was beyond special. What a treat!

We loved this hotel so much that we booked a second night. The hotel itself is gorgeous; as is the room that had an array of small gifts waiting for us. We stayed in the winter so there was only the one staff member during the day only, but that was fine for us. She was warm and spoke perfect English. We had a self check in late at night and the instructions provided were perfect. It was actually quite nice to enter the property with no one present. It felt like an adventure driving in the long driveway in the dark, pushing through the small dark heavy wooden door to enter into this incredible old world kitchen gently lit up at night time, and from there making our way up the curving staircase to our room that had our name on the door. If you are looking for a place that makes you feel like you are well and truly in France, this is it. We have been living in the south of France for the last few years and have travelled extensively in Provence. This hotel is by far the quintessential French experience that a foreigner dreams of. The breakfast for me was paradise - such a variety of fresh produce - and presented in picture perfect style. If you like to take photos of your food, you’ll spend just as much time taking photos of the kitchen and breakfast buffet as you will eating it. As well as cold foods, we were asked if we wanted eggs of any style and bacon. I had informed the hotel ahead of time that I was gluten free and they provided me with a lovely rustic gluten free raisin bread - well above the step of the usual tasteless gf bread that other french hotels provide (if they provide any at all). As it was winter, breakfast was served on two communal dining tables. Having said this, you are not forced to make small talk with anyone as the tables are very long and each party is seated away from others so that it feels private. Location of the hotel is superb. If you are there on a Friday morning, the (most beautiful) market is practically right outside your door!

Le Galinier is magical and romantic. Our suite was beautiful—modern yet full of charm—with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent. It truly felt like a perfect home away from home. A lovely surprise was the Beaumier rosé—we really enjoyed sipping it by the pool. Every detail contributed to a relaxing, luxurious stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful property full of charm and character. Lovely staff who were very knowledgeable and accommodating!

This property fits somewhere between a boutique hotel and a guest house. The three small 18th century buildings that surrounding a courtyard have been beautifully renovated in a way that preserves the historic elements while creating modern amenities. We had a family of seven people staying for 5 nights in late June to early July. (5 adults and two young children). We could not have been more pleased with the rooms, grounds and the superb staff. We stayed in Loft Blanc and Maison du Chef suites, both wonderfully decorated in an appropriate simple, comfortable manner. Overall, the food was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious and generous. On several nights a chef prepared dinners for guests which were served outside and were greatly enjoyed by the entire group. The pool was large and well maintained as were the the well landscaped grounds. The nearby village of Lourmarin was everything you’d want in a Provençal village. Absolutely charming. The property was lightly staffed as a guest house, but all the necessary services were well provided.

The host/receptionist was fantastic very friendly and also a great chef for breakfast. Thank you for upgrading our stay as well.
