Absolutely lovely stay, the room was exceptionally clean, the honesty bar is well equipped with a lovely atmosphere & the board/card games are an added bonus. The owners are so friendly and accommodating, helped us with local attractions and restaurants etc. We’d definitely come back & would highly recommend for the price. Also a bonus that the beach is so close - great not having to walk far at 7 months pregnant! Thank you both for a lovely stay xx

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The hotel Katherine. We were warmly greeted by Darren who showed us to our room. We requested a double room on the second floor. It was spotlessly clean and lovely decor. The whole hotel is well thought out and decorated to a high standard. The honesty lounge is a delight. We used it after returning from our evening meal. Comfy sofas and a relaxing atmosphere. We both chose a drink and it was added to our bill. We slept well, the bed was comfy and hotel was quiet. The breakfast was a plentiful selection. Jane was friendly and explained if we wanted a hot option we can order. We both had the full English. Very tasty and well presented. The breakfast room was lovely as the rest of the place. It truly was an enjoyable stay. They should be proud of the hotel, how it looks and how they treat their guests. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly welcome for a last minute booking in their smallest room. But still very airy and comfortable with an excellent walk in shower. Worth the trek up the stairs. Lots of little thoughtful extra not seen much in hotels these days. We will definitely be back.

We chose this hotel based on the excellent trip advisor reviews. The merits of the hotel are well documented so I will not list them all, however the management are to be congratulated on its presentation and cleanliness. The honesty bar is a nice touch, with plenty of choice, we used it a couple of times. I have no reservations about recommending this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting this area.

We have just enjoyed a couple of nights stay in this wonderful hotel . It was perfect in so many ways , the cleanliness was exceptional, our room was light and airy . The cooked breakfast were amazing , freshly cooked . Using local produce. There was plenty of choice , if you preferred muesli , cereal , Jams or croissants. The little touches of bottled water of which you could obtain from the communal fridge , were very welcome. The honesty bar and crisps / chocolate that was also available ( made it feel, like home from) Jane was an exceptional host and nothing was too much trouble , in ensuring that our stay was perfect . The 2 minute stroll to the beach, made it an idyllic break. We look forward to our next visit .

We stayed for a family wedding and when booking the owners were so helpful, given that one family member had different requirements to the rest of us. They even told us that if you booked direct with themselves rather than one of the major booking sites breakfast would be included rather than paying a fee. On arrival there was parking directly outside and the inside and outside of the hotel is spotless and the decor in keeping with the age of the building. It’s so nice inside with a lounge, breakfast area, and an honestly bar. The decor is very homely. We ate a takeaway one evening and the owners provided us with plates etc. There is a self service area near the bedrooms with fresh water and housekeeping bits and pieces, great idea. The hotel itself is just across the road from the beach and about a ten minute walk from pubs. The room was immaculate with a very large en-suite bathroom with shower, tv and tea making facilities, toiletries and a hairdryer. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries and cereals to help yourself to and then the option of also ordering hot food. The owners are very friendly and have a chat and are always on hand for anything else you need. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will certainly visit again.

On arrival, no hassle gaining access to Hotel Katherine or our room (even though we did arrive after 1:30AM) When entering our room, we were delighted and absolutely over the moon! Spotlessly clean, everything you could want or need for your stay is at your fingertips. Very modern, fresh and well decorated. Beautiful garden view😍 Very quiet and peaceful for a brilliant nights sleep. There is Guest Information within the room, with bus stops and train stations locally, nearest shops, nearest takeaways or restaurants and general information regarding the Hotel and your Stay. Every room was taken so feel so lucky to have been able to stay which just proves how popular Hotel Katherine is!🙂 Any telephone communication or general contact with the hotel was very informative, helpful, well mannered and very polite. No squabble, you’re left re-assured and confident about your stay. Woke up and come downstairs to be immediately greeted by a happy, smiley and friendly face welcoming us with a “Good Morning” and asking about our stay. On our way out for the day, I happened to notice a little box of odds and ends with a sign “For Guests Use” - Beach balls, beach umbrellas, bucket&spades and loads more! Never come across this previously and think it’s such a wonderful idea. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk from the Hotel and is beautiful for a little wander 🏖 Check out was just as easy, no complications and wished us a safe journey home. If I am ever up and around in Suffolk, I will certainly without any doubt be staying in Hotel Katherine again! I would highly recommend to anyone🥰

When we arrived at the hotel I was set back just how clean and fresh the hotel was and our room was no different. Clean really is a understatement and with my better half having a dust mite allergy this was a very safe stay for her. Had all you need for your stay in the room too. Very quite so no worries about getting a good nights sleep, rooms are spaced out so you cannot hear anything from the other rooms. Staff very pleasant and nothing is too much for them. Would 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if ever back in this area. Enjoyed are stay here and are very satisfied with the room and staff 🙂.

Spent one night in this fabulous hotel overlooking a lovely park with sea views just beyond and only minutes to the beach/promenade. The owners of Hotel Katherine were the perfect hosts - welcoming, helpful and very friendly. Their attention to detail in this recently refurbished hotel is second to none. The decor is beautiful and the furnishings were of high quality - I LOVED the colour schemes throughout the public areas and our bedroom. The bright and airy bedroom was spacious enough for me to do an online Pilates class whilst looking out to our sea view. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and not only did we have tea/coffee and biscuits (which could be replenished from a communal area on the first floor) but there was squash, hot chocolate and plenty of complimentary chilled water available too. Breakfast was included and we were treated to a selection of fresh berries, yogurt, granola, cereals etc before ordering our cooked breakfast of choice. Plenty of tea and fresh coffee on demand all served in their beautiful dining area. A well stocked honesty bar, and chocolate snacks were available to purchase to satisfy any out of hours cravings. As you can tell, we loved our visit to Hotel Katherine and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Suffolk area.
