"Zuela Guesthouse is located at the very center of the small town of Luang Namtha. It’s right opposite to the Night Market which is great for a late night dinner after a long trek. Around the guesthouse are also all the major tour agencies with whom you can book tours. The place itself is nice, with traditional wooden architecture and nice bedrooms. Operating staff is very young and a bit inexperienced, so it can take a bit longer to get things through, but not a major issue to enjoy the stay. Breakfast has 4 different choices, each one is good. Beds are relatively comfortable but could use an upgrade in terms of mattresses and insulating rooms from outside. Big plus, they offer mountain bikes, scooters as well as dirt bikes for rent! Overall a very nice stay keeping in mind the location and the very limited options around."

"Let's start with the positives: the room was clean and tidy, but also completely overpriced. We had booked 3 nights through Trip.com and were told we'd have to switch rooms after two nights because they were fully booked. We were also told we could cancel the last night if we didn't want to stay. We wanted to check out the hotel first and said we'd get back to them. The odd thing was, we were the only guests. We ended up checking out a night early. We were told to cancel via Trip.com, and of course, a cancellation for the last night was not accepted. We also got the feeling they were glad to see us go. The supposed restaurant wasn't even open, so you have to go into the village. Incidentally, another reviewer was also fed the same story about the supposedly fully booked hotel. The breakfast was sufficient and the service was friendly."

"The location is good. It's in the center of town, close to markets etc. The facilities have a lot of room for improvement. There were a lot of ants in the bed, which made it itchy and I couldn't sleep. The hot water didn't work properly, and the Wi-Fi was poor. The only good thing about it was the location."

Furthermore, they helped us to get the bus back to the train station, avoinding to pay the excesive price of the taxi."

"At first glance, this is a lovely hotel. A warm welcome, a somewhat colonial-style decor, and very helpful staff. The villas on stilts are beautifully furnished, spacious, and have all the basic amenities. There are also slippers, bathrobes, air conditioning, and everything else you need for a comfortable stay. What's missing is the lack of chairs on the balcony to enjoy the garden and the view of the town from the mountain. The town is quite prominent, with two noisy cafes and a school nearby. But at night, it's not really bothersome. Moreover, it's noisy everywhere in and around the town throughout the day. Incidentally, when we mentioned the balcony chairs that day, two dining room chairs from the breakfast room were immediately delivered to our door, along with two beers on the house. Despite having a princely room, you can't help but feel that when this complex opened in 2018, it had the ambition to be more than it is today. Since then, Tripadvisor reviews have mentioned a restaurant that hasn't opened yet, and it still hasn't. The bar next to a spot where a pool was once planned is also nicely decorated, but there are only empty bottles. Breakfast is otherwise excellent and more than sufficient. In short, a great place to stay in Luang Namtha with a touch of luxury. A place that's eager for more travelers and investors to further develop it. But you'll still have a great experience here."
