"Overall, it's pretty good. It's located down a small alley, so you drive to the alley entrance and then walk in. The alley is very quiet, and as you enter the hotel, there's a large pond with a small fountain, which is quite beautiful. It's about a 10-minute walk to Mount Phousi and the main street – not super close, but not far either, just a nice stroll. The room was clean and tidy. My only regret is that we were given a ground-floor room. The sliding door opened directly onto the pond and breakfast area, so guests were constantly walking past right in front of us. While I wasn't too worried about security, we had to keep the curtains drawn and the door closed the whole time, otherwise the room was completely exposed. The breakfast was decent; we ate it for three days and didn't get tired of it, and there were fresh squeezed juices available every day."

"1st night was very noisy as there’s a single wooden door between my room and the next family room, it was like I was sharing the room with them. Fortunately they moved out the following day. There was also a lot of noise from outside, I wasn’t street facing. I tried to close the window but it doesn’t shut, they were also cooking with charcoal so the room smelt like a bbq. I booked this hotel specifically because it had a swimming pool, as in the pictures, it doesn’t. That’s only if you book the villa which is two blocks away I was told. So a completely different hotel. The western breakfast doesn’t exist either, I was offered some kind of noodles or salad. I ate out each morning. Also the girl in reception booked a taxi for me to the airport, it was twice what I paid to get there, I thought fair enough, there where lots of other people in the minibus from the airport and this was my own taxi, only for it to stop at every hotel on the way  picking people up. The guy on reception was very nice and helpful but the hotel tainted the start to my trip in Luang Prabang.  The whole booking was very misleading."

"The hotel's location is excellent, close to attractions and with plenty of restaurants nearby. It's tucked away in an alley just off the main street, making it quieter. The breakfast was good, and the room was comfortable. As for service, it was just okay. They mentioned welcome fruit, but I didn't see any – apparently, you have to collect it from the front desk, and they didn't offer it proactively. Here are a few additional points I didn't see in other reviews: 1. I booked for one night and was assigned a room next to the front desk. I was told that for a one-night stay, only ground-floor rooms were available, not those on the second floor. 2. Breakfast is served outdoors. You might be able to take it back to your room, but it was quite chilly in the morning (around 10-15°C) during winter. In summer, the outdoor temperature for breakfast would probably be quite pleasant."

"We stayed at Monsane Villa in Luang Prabang, and the location is absolutely unbeatable! It is right in the heart of the main street, right next to the night market and right across from it. The Royal Palace, Mount Phousi, and the morning market are all within a 3-minute walk. We can even watch the morning alms-giving ceremony right outside the hotel without having to wake up early. We must highly praise the staff for their warm and thoughtful service. The lady at the front desk and bar used to be a flight attendant, she is very beautiful and provided excellent service. She kindly helped us with our luggage and called a taxi to the waterfall. The housekeeper Auntie Ni, who cleans the rooms and bathrooms, is very careful and hardworking, keeping the rooms spotless. Both staff members are outstanding and deserve great recognition. We hope the owner can consider giving them a salary raise! The hotel serves fresh coffee and bread for breakfast, and there is also delicious Lanzhou noodles nearby. It is a century-old French colonial villa, perfect for taking photos. Communication at the front desk is easy and convenient. With such a great location in the city center, the price is very affordable. Staying here is absolutely the best choice for traveling in Luang Prabang!"

"The location is close to the Mekong River and the night market, but it is on a quiet street. The rooms are compact but very clean and hot water always comes out of the shower. Breakfast can be selected from multiple menus such as * dishes and pancakes, and you can eat different things every day. The taste is delicious and every menu has fruit. The best thing was that the staff were very kind. He consulted on the tour and was very kind to the children."

"This was my first time staying in Luang Prabang, Laos. The hotel was clean and comfortable, but what truly made my stay wonderful was the incredible kindness of the hotel owner. They helped with local research, motorbike rentals, and even arranging train tickets. I'm truly grateful! Thank you so much. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends if they ever get the chance to visit.😊"

"The hotel is well located. I liked the breakfast very much. The coffee from the machine is super nice. The staff is very friendly. The room was big enough (even when I travelled alone I can say it was enough big for two people). Luang Prabang is next to a river and jungle so you can't ignore this if you can handle this type of enviroment. I saw geckos in my room. They are not bad but I am a city girl and I get scared even with ants. I saw baby roaches in the toilet. Now, the night I stayed there was like a concert or a bar next to the hotel and it was noisy for some period of time at night. They have earplugs but I don't like to use them. Anything I said didn't bother me that much as the fact that there is no way to turn off the lights unless you take out the card to open the door, this means when you turn off the lights nothing can be charged. Plus you need to stand up to turn on the lights again. I was a bit annoyed by this, then I saw the yummy breakfast and it really felt that I was complaining for nothing. The tuk tuk and cars taken from the hotel might be expensive. I took some of them because I wanted to feel safe as solo female traveller but I felt very bad when I met other people and asked them how much they paid to go to the waterfalls and I paid like 4 times more. The staff is friendly and ready to help you. Close to the hotel there is a temple so it is very convenient if you wake up at 6 am to see the monks during the morning alms. Also close to the hotel there is this mountain Phou Si where you hike and have a city view. You also have many coffee shops around and restaurants. It was ok to stay here but just some minor inconvenients. But yeah try the breakfast and the banana chocolate cake. Internet was ok and AC worked fine. Hot shower also good."
