The place to stay! We have now stayed twice in last 3 weeks as we loved it that much. The stable room and the room above the hayloft in the old barn have been transformed into a little piece of heaven. All staff are welcoming and friendly but George and imogen went above and beyond. I was due surgery the first time and had a restricted diet and second time even more requirements, but no issues the chef had prepared lots of choice even as awkward as my requests were. The food… wow!! Beef cheek melted, duck incredible and the breakfast was stunning. Highly advise a stay here beautiful place on the river and staff incredible. Oh and the white chocolate fudge with lemon and poppyseed was insane. We will be back Paul & Marie

We stayed here as a birthday treat and it was delightful! When we arrived we ordered coffee and had it by the fire with some delicious handmade fudge while we waited for our room. They gave us our keys early so we could make the most of our time. Storm Bert was on its way so we explored the grounds and then headed to Ludlow instead of one of the many walks. When we returned it was still pouring so we had a very relaxing afternoon in our garden room. I enjoyed the free standing bath in the room with the magazines provided while my husband chilled on the comfy bed. A fridge in the room provided fresh milk and ice water for drinks. The homemade flapjack provided was delicious. We then had an incredible meal and drinks in the restaurant before waddling back to our room. The next morning we enjoyed yet more delicious food at breakfast. The staff were very friendly and attentive, checking our plans around Storm Bert and helping people travel safely.

I had an impromptu, but wonderful, stay at The Riverside Inn last week as I became stranded due to the flooding. Arriving quite late I was made to feel most welcome. I hadn't eaten, and despite the kitchen having finished serving for the evening, they provided me with a delicious meal and dessert. The garden room I stayed in was beautiful, like a hobbit house! I cannot thank the staff enough for their efforts, they went above and beyond for this stranded traveler. I can't wait to return and sample their full dining menu in earnest. Heath.

Staff efficient friendly. Lovely homely but modern feel to the property..Everything was just perfect 👌. Im usually very critical of at least one thing as I'm a stickler for perfection. The Riverside Inn was really good. We only booked for 1 night was the downside!!!!

We’ve just returned from a last minute overnight stay at The Riverside and what a brilliant little find it is. Approximately 20 minutes from the pretty town of Ludlow, this beautiful old inn is a gem. We stayed in the Stable which was clean, comfortable and had all we needed for our short stay. Plenty of tea, coffee, homemade biscuits and a proper jug of milk in the fridge. None of the long life milk in disposable plastic containers because this place does everything it can to reduce its carbon footprint. We were even allowed to charge our EV for free. The food served in the cosy pub is sourced from the garden or local suppliers and beautifully cooked. We stayed for Sunday dinner and it was the best roast we’ve had. (Well done to the talented young chef who prepared it.) Breakfast was delicious too, so much so that we took a jar of their homemade marmalade away with us. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly, hardworking staff, even when my husband left something in the room they kindly agreed to post it to us. I highly recommend a visit to the Riverside, and we hope to return and sample the garden rooms next time.

The location is idyllic - even on the rainy day we stayed. We still managed a nice walk. The pub is gorgeous - inside and out - we'd have enjoyed sitting by the river if the weather had been nice. Bedrooms are decorated nicely, with lovely shower in the ensuite. Staff are lovely and attentive. But it's the food that really makes this place stand out - it's out of this world and excellent value for such culinary delights! They have some beautiful wines too. We will definitely be back - although might ask if they have any back bedrooms next time as traffic was quite loud going past (wouldn't be an issue in winter as window would be closed). PS thank you for letting me buy a jar of your delicious marmalade (one of the nicest I'd tasted - at breakfast).

Welcoming, relaxed vibe with everything done well. Stylish, generous rooms. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to good walks and welcomes dogs. Good restaurant that champions local food and grows many ingredients on site.

We stayed at the Riverside on Sunday evening and arrived on a beautiful afternoon. Our room was in the Stables, and it was very spacious and comfortable. We were delighted by the homemade biscuits left for us, which we enjoyed with a cup of tea later in the evening. We dined in the restaurant immediately upon arrival. Based on some reviews, my expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised. Much of the menu is sourced from their own garden, which is fantastic. The organic roast beef Sunday dinner was especially delicious. Top marks chef! After dinner, we took a lovely walk in the garden, which was a wonderful experience. We slept exceptionally well in the soft, comfortable bed, which was much appreciated after our long drive. Breakfast the next morning was also delicious, with many items sourced locally. George and his team are definitely doing a great job – well done to all
