Forrest Hills Mountain Resort

Breakfast was good. The room needs some maintenance and better cleaning. Found trash in dresser drawers and trundle of couch. Property was nice and quiet.

Room was clean and well stocked. Staff was amazing! Mountain views were unbelievable. The buffet breakfast was FABULOUS! The property was beautiful and very well maintained. Absolutely would stay again. Definitely would go for a room with a hot tub next time!

Breakfast served was just one more bang for the buck. Was not expecting the weather to turn cold, but the rooms were well heated and toasty. Staff was very helpful in all requests we might have had and would bend over backwards to accommodate. Room and bath were clean.

We enjoyed the hot tub after a very cold day outside! Price was great. Short ride to Gibbs Gardens was great for us.

This was a perfect stay. The staff are fantastic, the room was amazing, and the horses were great.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. The resort is beautiful. Cabins are not on top of each other. It is convenient having the restaurants on the property and we appreciated breakfast being included in the price. We stayed in Cabin 12. The hot tub was wonderful, the cabin was nice, but we were disappointed in a few things. The price is quite high for the cabin, and we expect things to work. The coffee maker did not work, so we had no coffee our first morning. We got a replacement coffee maker later in the day. The fireplace should have started with a simple turn of the dial on the wall. It was completely shut off. Fortunately, we had some experience with gas fireplaces and got it started, but it took a considerable amount of time. The volume control on tv remote would not work the entire weekend. Suddenly, it worked the morning we left as we signed out of apps. The pillows were very flat. New pillows or additional pillows would be great on a king bed. Location is great for things in the area. Cabin was clean. Needed some updating and maintenance crew should be certain all items are functioning prior to visitors arriving.

It started off extremely wonderful. We checked in on a Wednesday night late. Breakfast the next two mornings was fabulous in the secret garden room very intimate and the food was exceptional. Which is what I would expect from a resort that charges over 250 a night. However many things were not ok. 1. No hot tub due to state regulations? The hot tub was a deciding factor for booking. 2. Room was out dated in need of repairs(roof, bathroom, deck etc.) 3. They got my reservation all mixed up which then prompted them to start sending me threatening text messages and phone calls about the removal of my belongings. It got sorted however they played it off as nothing. 4. Weekend breakfast was troff style and very disappointing it was unfinishable left my plate after 2 bites very different from the previous intimate weekday breakfast. You get the gist. I really enjoyed the property itself its very beautiful.

The staff was awesome but the problem is we started seeing roaches in the cabin thats very unsettling and honestly ruined what could have been an awesome weekend

It was a beautiful area. Clean and very nice. Definitely will be coming back.
