Good location but service is slow , room needs to be upgraded ! Swimming pool is small and not very clean

Large hotel just beside the river, many different room type and goodies are slightly different, I got a very small room but manage to change to a better room.some room have excellent river view, breakfast is OK,

The location is convenient as hotel is located at the border of inner city of Luneberg. The reception staff is gentle with multi-language.

The hotel has a fantastic location, clean and quiet.

The location is simply outstanding. The beds are simply wonderful to sleep in. The service staff gives their all. The piano player on Friday and Saturday was really good. The hotel has seen better days, though. NO WIFI AVAILABLE. Telekom Internet connection: "E" with one bar. Breakfast: Not enough egg cups for everyone - insufficient number of cups for latte macchiato (none available, or was there a backlog in the dishes?), the two fully automatic coffee machines broke down, and the hot water samovar broke down. A limited number of snacks in glass jars (only the first 10 people got something, and they weren't refilled). Repairs in the bathroom were incomplete, and the toilet seat was broken and temporarily patched with tape. The equipment was torn off; one can only guess what was once hanging there. It's a shame; for these overnight prices, I had expected at least Wi-Fi or at least coffee and egg cups to be available for the number of rooms booked.

The hotel isn't worthy of a 4-star rating. The room was in need of renovation (broken fixtures, broken glass door on the closet, screws in the wall but no picture...). In the restaurant, a stair railing was very loose. This isn't safe for many older hotel guests. Although the hotel is obviously always busy on weekends, staffing is understaffed. At breakfast, there were only two employees serving and they were completely overwhelmed by the number of guests. Tables weren't assigned and weren't re-set. At times, there were no teapots, no juices, no glasses... The staff were nevertheless very friendly, and one could truly feel sorry for them given the working conditions. It's worth mentioning that the breakfast buffet was very extensive and of good quality. There was no Wi-Fi during our stay.

This is the second time we have booked this hotel and will recommend it.

Great location right on the Ilmenau, close to the center. Extremely friendly staff. Free drinks from the minibar on the day of arrival. Compromises only for the somewhat old-fashioned room furnishings. There are even modem sockets on the desk.

Service war gut. Sehr nettes Personal. Leider waren unsere Zimmer schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und benötigen auf jeden Fall ein Makeover. Die Lage ist phänomenal und perfekt für den direkten Einstieg in die schöne Stadt.
