It is far from Luoyang Longmen Station、but It's very close to Longmen Grottoes. They will take you to the station and Longmen by car. This hotel is very prestigious

Not sure why the first day i found this hole behind the bed… It was very dusty inside and i can see wires all behind.. Had a hard time sleeping.. But when im back the second day, they covered back the hole. Service was good but cleanliness was average..

This lovely hotel is as close as you can get to the Longmen Grottoes! Walk or take the hotel shuttle down the hill, and the river and grottoes are in front of you! Our room had great beds, 2 kinds of pillows (I love the buckwheat pillow, my friend prefers the regular pillow), cool air conditioning (it's hot in July), & excellent, powerful shower with high quality shampoo, etc. Although our Chinese language skills are poor, the staff were patient, helpful, & highly service-oriented, using apps to communicate with us. They explained the finer details of getting tickets to the grottoes & moving around the area. The extensive breakfast buffet was terrific, with a huge range of choices to satisfy all palates--I prefer Chinese breakfast foods, my friend prefers Western style breakfast. Both of us were full and happy, ready to climb all the stairs at the grottoes. It is necessary to mention the dinner restaurant at Dong Shang Hotel. It was excellent. Eggplant=100% fantastic! Cilantro salad=100% wow! I recommend their dinner restaurant even if you are not staying at their hotel.

The hotel location s is absolutely the best place in Longmen grottoes. You’ll enjoy a complimentary tea with the grottoes right in front of you! The hotel staffs are kind and accommodating. One are is the sound proofing of the room which is somewhat annoying when someone’s moving in/out of the elevator or room. Overall is best experience.

VIP pick-up at the railway station. Hotel used by VIP officials and foreign dignitaries, with lot of greenery, across the river from Longmen grottoes. Very convenient to visit the Unesco World Heritage site. Nice environment.

Expensive, perhaps. But we found it worth the money because it is just 5 mins from the river by electric cart and another 15 mins walk to the entrance,(and tickets) to the Longmen Grottoes.There is delicious food with a notable discount making it affordable to mid budget travellers. And there is an amazing full size swimming pool (empty but with lifeguard when we used it) and there are beautiful large rooms and corridors full of art. Only... Don't count on sitting on terrace to watch a multicoloured lazer and light show. This show finished a few years back. Now the evening lights are simply a gentle flow to allow a night walk/visit. And the terrace is tiny, standing only! Finally, while some of the other Chinese guests were clearly wealthy and we were clearly more midrange tourists, the staff dedicated us lots of attention and care with loads of patience (given VPN translation issues)... So highly recommended!

Good location with splendid view of the Longmen Bridge to Binyang 3 Caves along the Yi River from the tea restaurant (fourth floor) of the “fifth building”. Although it is the nearest hotel to the entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, it still have to walk about 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the lodging. Cozy and comfortable environment with plenty of fruit trees provided. However, the hotel requires modernization in some ways.

The service and scenery are amazing, you can look across the Yi River and get a great view of Long Men Grotto. The breakfast buffet has a wide array of local cuisine. In addition, every room can borrow a full hanfu costume for free. The hotel staff also provide transportation to and from train and bus stations.

The room was clean and the bedding was fine. The service was good and the battery car pick-up was very convenient. It is a garden-style hotel and it is very pleasant to take a stroll in the morning and evening. The dinner a la carte dishes and breakfast buffet are all online. The downside is that the bathroom facilities are too old and there is little power in the room.

Luoyang Dongshan Hotel feels like a big garden! Like a state guesthouse! You can listen to the birds singing in the morning and breathe the fresh air of nature!
