Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor - Convention Center

This is a very nice hotel located centrally in Luxor and only a very short distance from sites such as Luxor Temple. The room and facilities were lovely, and all the staff members were excellent and could not do enough for you. We love the pool area and the views to the Nile were stunning. Restaurants were good, we tried them all. Superb hotel

Our trip to Egypt was cut short by the war in Iran. We asked this hotel to cancel our booking for us, but their manager, ****** *****, employed a tactic of avoiding direct response to our question. He repeatedly asked us to contact them by sending a request on trip.com, and he subsequently rejected it. This pattern repeated three times. I literally laughed every time when his email reads “feel free to contact us anytime”. He apparently didn’t think that way. I thought that was just him, but i was wrong. I emailed the parent company of the brand, Huazhu group, and received reply of “oh please pay attention to further emails from us”. The result? No reply! This is classically Huazhu. My advise: AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST. So as any brands of Huazhu (including. Steigenberger). Try out other hotels nearby instead and avoid dealing with people like ****** *****. Because they are not just being themselves. They are living the DNA of Huazhu. And Huazhu/ H worldgroup clearly approves it.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, situated right on the Nile River and only a 10-15 minute walk to the Luxor Market. The highlight was definitely the view. I could relax and enjoy the scenery of the Nile and the Valley of the Kings from the sunbed at swimming pool. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and bars, and they even have Italian and Thai restaurants on-site. The security system is excellent, and the staff were incredibly helpful. As for the room, the bed was very soft and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and looked modern, though it features a shower-over-bath setup. This occasionally caused some water to splash into the dry zone. A small personal note: be careful with the bathtub faucet—I accidentally bumped my knee against it quite hard! Overall, however, the hotel is very clean and well-maintained.
