"Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained. The carpets don't smell, and there's no black mold in the bathroom. When I checked in, the front desk proactively offered a late checkout. The lounge on the 55th floor has amazing views, and the Western-style desserts and cold dishes are excellent, though the hot food could be better. The location is also fantastic, right next to Kerry Centre."

"I had such a wonderful stay at The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan, and one of the biggest highlights of my experience was the exceptional service from my butler, Koi Ke. From the beginning, she was incredibly kind, thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely warm. I was in Shanghai celebrating my 25th birthday on a solo trip, and Koi went above and beyond to make my stay feel special. She was always willing to help, and she even spent so much time helping me take photos and create memories from my trip. What stood out to me most was that her kindness never felt forced or simply like part of her job—she was genuinely lovely, and by the end of my stay, it felt like I had made a friend in Shanghai. The hotel itself was beautiful, my room was stunning, and the facilities and service were everything I would expect from a St. Regis property, but it is the people who make a hotel experience memorable. Koi made mine unforgettable. I’m incredibly grateful for the hospitality I received during such a special trip and birthday. Please make sure Koi receives recognition for the wonderful service she provides. I will remember her kindness whenever I think about my time in Shanghai, and I would absolutely love to stay here again. ❤️"

The most perfect trip! As a century-old hotel, the entire building is steeped in history. For those of us living in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region, the Peace Hotel holds a certain allure, and this trip truly allowed me to experience the most perfect hotel on the Bund. Facilities: Renovated 10 years ago, the facilities are continually updated and far from outdated, creating an overall convenient and comfortable stay. Hygienics: Perfect. Environment: The surroundings speak for themselves. Step downstairs and you're on the pedestrian street, turn your head and you see the 'Three Tall Buildings' (Lujiazui Financial District). The convenience this brings is unparalleled. The hotel also has a rich Republic of China era ambiance, making it incredibly photogenic. Service: Perfect! They even sent a small cake as it was almost my birthday! Thanks to Alexander for the excellent service; he meticulously introduced all the room facilities on our way up and was very thoughtful upon our departure. Food: We dined at both the Dragon & Phoenix Restaurant and the Western restaurant. Overall, the prices are quite high, but the food was good, especially the拌面 (ban mian - tossed noodles), which was exceptionally delicious. We went to the Jazz Bar to listen to the elderly jazz band and resident singer – you could genuinely listen all night, it was so pleasant and relaxing. Additionally, the view from the Cathay Room Bar terrace is unbeatable. Tourists can visit during operating hours, but if you're staying at the hotel, you can go anytime without needing to make a purchase.

I specifically set aside a few days to unwind and relax, with no rushed itinerary, and the overall stay was incredibly comfortable. A big thank you to Zora from Guest Relations. When checking in, Zora sensed that we wanted quiet rest and didn't disturb us too much, simply and clearly explaining the hotel's services. When I occasionally reached out to her for inquiries, her replies were gentle and calm, and she was very meticulous. The hotel environment is tranquil, perfect for relaxation. It's rare to encounter service staff who understand and respect a guest's need for solitude. Zora's perfectly pitched service made this slow-paced vacation experience truly exceptional. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next getaway!

Stepping into the lobby, I was immediately drawn to the stunning flower arrangement at the front desk – so stylish and clearly freshly changed that day, it really brought the whole space to life. The hotel's overall Art Deco style, with its geometric lines and brass accents, was a feast for the eyes everywhere, from the elevators to the hallways, and perfectly suited my taste. The cleaning staff were also incredibly friendly, always greeting me warmly, making me feel as comfortable as if I were staying at a friend's house.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong truly lived up to its reputation as a consistent top-lister! 💯 The most breathtaking feature was undoubtedly the 270-degree panoramic river view 🌊. Waking up to that sight every morning was simply incredible. Interestingly, the city view rooms offer more of that urban buzz 🏙️. You don't necessarily need a high floor; the lower floors actually provide better architectural layering for photos. I have to give a special shout-out to their round bathtub 🛁. It's stunning and creates such a fantastic ambiance for photos (though the water pressure is a bit low). If you plan on taking a bath, I recommend starting to fill it about half an hour in advance! Breakfast was definitely a highlight 🍽️. They had a wide array of both Chinese and Western options, so many choices it was hard to decide. The fruit section alone had over a dozen kinds of fresh, seasonal fruits 🍓. Make sure to set aside plenty of time to enjoy it!

Staying at this hotel again, the service is consistently excellent, which I truly appreciate. The pool is still fantastic, and the temperature is perfect for a swim. Lounging on the sofa, enjoying the warm breeze – it's incredibly relaxing. Bill from concierge was very helpful with my luggage, and Judy and Sissy from the switchboard provided great service, promptly relaying my requests to the front desk. I'll definitely be back 😏

While the basic accommodation needs are met, there's definitely room for improvement in the details. In the mornings, there was often a loud banging noise from the corridor, which was quite disruptive and woke me up early, preventing a good night's sleep. The in-room facilities felt quite dated, and the bathroom waterproofing was inadequate; water would easily seep out during showers, making the floor slippery – a minor but present hazard. I hope the hotel considers renovating and upgrading the bathroom facilities and improving sound insulation between floors. On the positive side, the hotel's unique scenery and ambiance are big pluses. The lobby frequently features a resident band playing live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the common areas with their melodious tunes. The rooftop bar offers expansive views and an excellent sightseeing experience. The antique Rolls-Royce parked outside is a rare sight and makes for a stylish photo opportunity. Overall, it's a mixed bag of pros and cons.

Overall, my stay was excellent. The environment and location are superb, and all staff members provided top-notch service. VIP service from Jenny and Sylvana was particularly attentive and thoughtful. My room offered an unobstructed view of the river, and the complimentary incense each day was lovely – I even bought two types at check-out. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and well-prepared. The terrace restaurant offered fantastic night views, with panoramic vistas of the Bund and Lujiazui. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Excellent location in Shanghai, perfect for exploring and leisurely strolls. The hotel itself is not large, and its facade is rather understated, but the interior exudes a sense of understated luxury with a strong design aesthetic. My room offered a view of the Louis Vuitton rooftop loft, and in the evening, the lights blended with the sunset glow, creating a beautiful interplay between reality and the sky.

This stay was undoubtedly the most healing and unforgettable highlight of my trip, filled with comfort and warmth from start to finish, making it truly memorable. The hotel rooms were sophisticated and elegant, with a well-designed layout and exquisite, grand decor, showcasing quality in every detail. The room was clean, tidy, and bright, with a cozy and comfortable ambiance. Every small detail showed meticulous care, making me feel incredibly relaxed and completely fulfilling all my expectations for an ideal living space. What surprised me most was the hotel's Spago restaurant. The overall ambiance was perfect, with beautiful scenery and a unique style. Both the interior design and the atmosphere were striking. Dining here was not just a treat for the taste buds but also an ultimate visual feast. The romantic and soothing atmosphere made it my dream restaurant and one of the biggest surprises of this trip. The beauty of a journey, beyond the excellent environment, also comes from thoughtful and warm service. Here, I want to sincerely thank my four butlers: Frieda, Leo, Kirana, and Susanna. During my stay, they were consistently meticulous, attentive, and patient, always monitoring my experience and proactively addressing all my needs with professional and gentle service. Their thorough care and perfectly attentive service washed away the fatigue of travel, making me, a stranger in a foreign land, feel a long-lost sense of security and warmth, truly experiencing the ultimate feeling of being at home. The excellent environment, the stunning restaurant views, combined with perfect and heartwarming service, created a flawless stay. This short visit has left me with an abundance of wonderful memories, and I am already eagerly looking forward to my next return. I will definitely choose this place again in the future!
