Clifton Park Hotel - Exclusive to Adults Reviews

I was bought this as a gift from my siblings for my 50th birthday. Emailed some queries the week before, one of which was did you need to book a slot to use the pool. They responded but failed to answer that question. Arrived, hotel lobby looked lovely so I was impressed. Asked about the pool, one slot left which was half an hour before the strict 6pm evening mealtime so we couldn't use it. Got back in time for the evening meal. Told where to sit. Meal was ok, not wow. Youngest people there and we're 50 and 60! Bedroom was very warm with a very large unsightly brown stain on the ceiling and several broken tiles in the bathroom. Breakfast-again strict time and told where to sit. Poor quality ingredients, very salty bacon and catering sausage with lidl sauces on offer. My husband went back to our room at 9.20 for a scheduled work phonecall. I followed after 10 minutes. 9.40 am member of housekeeping walked into our room. Same member of staff then ambushed us at the lift practically begging for a tip as apparently cleaning staff don't get a share of the tips. My husband obliged. We were later told by reception staff/possibly manager, that this isn't the case, they opted out of the tip sharing scheme. We left and received phonecalls and an email regarding an outstanding bar bill, which was a completely honest oversight on my husband's part. I responded to the email, £38.70 for 3 drinks!, I let them know that we hadn't enjoyed our stay and they responded that my comments would be forwarded to the manager. It's now over 48hrs later and I haven't received any contact regarding my feedback.

From Michael Wigham from Cockermouth Cumbria Just got home from the Clifton Park Hotel. We had three lovely rooms. We were there to celebrate my Mother's 100th birthday. The managers and staff could not have been any nicer. On the day itself Sunday 1st September, at the dinner, they brought us in a wine bucket a bottle of champagne, as well as a lovely card. We have been to this hotel for a number of years and we would highly recommend it. We also can recommend the entertainment that is on each night.

Stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast included. Pleasant stay. Room was lovely and warm . Food was delicious with a good choice on the menu. Staff were very polite and helpful. Plenty of parking spaces and location is central to all the shops and near to the promanade.. Will recommend to friends and family, thank you.

We stayed here using our Buy a gift voucher, we stayed on the ground floor and the room was nice , you can see the hotel is going through some refurbishment as the room looked mix match a nice chair in room but then an old chair that does not go . We had a problem with the kettle this was changed quickly. Only issue was the fire alarm going off from 6.30am on and off till 8am kept guests awake I'm sure if you wanted a lie in but communication was poor seems to have been breakfast cooking? Staff were polite and plenty of parking definitely recommend.

Another visit to Clifton Park that is worthy of a six button review. Another great weekend of good food and fantastic entertainment. John and the team were, as always, very helpful and bend over backwards to ensure every guest is catered for. The entertainment each night of our weekend was excellent and again catered for a mixed audience. Accomodation was good too. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Food is good and the menu allows for a good variety of foods. The whole atmosphere at this hotel somehow manages to build good friendships between the guests and in return guests are often repeat customers again reinforcing those friendships. Looking forward to our return visit in November.

Weekend away with 12 of us for in-laws golden wedding anniversary. Rooms really good. Food when we ate there on Saturday night cannot complain. Breakfast was ok only. The matrie d on the Saturday was damn right rude. Rest of staff outstanding.

We had a lovely birthday meal with my parents. We were a large group and the food was delicious and it was very comfortable to sit in the lounge afterwards with the piano and we felt very welcome. My parents go regularly and the staff always make them feel special.

Got a buyagift voucher as a present and had a night here, I have given it four stars as the room decor could have been better, just needed redecorating, The hotel itself is very nice with plenty off lounge seating for relaxing. it is more an older persons hotel so you dont tend to get many children there ,so no screaming and shouting was observed. This created a very relaxed atmosphere, and a lovely place to go. The dining room is first class, and the service is tops. Lovely waitress. that puts you at ease and lets you know exactly whats on offer. The menu has plenty of choice, and the breakfast is help yourself , bacon eggs, sausage, mushrooms, beans ,toast, juices, also cereals. I cant fault this hotel, except maybe just the room looked a bit tired. Forgot to mention they have entertainment at night if you want to stay in. Parking is at a premium but plenty on the main road so no problem there. Very friendly hotel , staff great , Dont forget to book a slot for a swim if you want one, its only small but enough. Fantastic stay.

Stayed for 8 marvellous days. They are perfect combination of efficient and as I come back regularly they are great friends who always remember you with affection and love. So if you are a solo traveler like me it means you don’t feel lonely. The in-house made desserts are excellent also they make a superb old fashioned ice cream sundae. If you ever need help just ask John the manager who will do whatever it takes to give you an excellent time also he is fun to be around as well as the staff. Also they have an excellent bar where Will and John can make a Grand Marnier coffee and cocktails. The entertainment is great especially the singer Bryan Scott who has such a great range of songs. An all around perfect holiday

We stayed here with my parents for a weekend in Blackpool for my mums birthday. Great price and staff were very lovely and friendly. My parents have visited here loads of times, they have functions on here and have always good entertainment on.

Monday to Friday break was just what I needed after a family bereavement. The hotel is lovely rooms spotless and nothing is tk much trouble for John and his team. Food is excellent both at breakfast and evening meal great choice of deserts all homemade by the chef

Fabulous hotel. The room we had was a bit small but it had everything we needed. It was spotless. The staff cannot do enough for you. There was a singer on in the evening, plenty of room for dancing . Outside there’s a courtyard which is a suntrap. Also a few outside tables on a small terrace at the front. There’s a lovely swimming pool. Ideally suited for the more mature persons.

This is the second time that we have been to this hotel. It was just as wonderful as last Special shout out to Chloe and Adrianna . The welcome and service whilst we were there was amazing and so heartfelt. The facilities in this hotel are second to none

Excellent Hotel much better than expected. Staff really friendly and accomodating nothing was an issue they are credit to the Hotel. Swimming pool and Jacuzzi both excellent you need to book a slot then you have it to yourself for an hour. Lots of free parking at the hotel and on the road outside. Food very good, especially deserts :) I have recommended you to my friends thanks for a great stay.
