W Macau - Studio City

Stayed here with my child during the Chinese New Year. The room wasn't very big, probably on par with a 4-star hotel in China. There were a lot of families with kids, and I was very pleased with how soundproof the room was – I got a great night's sleep. What I didn't like was the bathroom and shower design; it was way too cramped. The toilet and sink were right next to each other, so if someone was using the toilet, no one else could wash their hands or brush their teeth. The shower door also opened in a very awkward direction, making it extremely tight, and the bathmat was completely useless, so you had to step out barefoot. The location is excellent though, with a Don Quijote supermarket and various eateries right downstairs.

Traveling as a family of five, the hotel was generally decent, but nothing spectacular. The breakfast was a bit monotonous; we basically ate boiled noodles for the last two days. The 1.35m wide beds were good for families with children, and the location was quite convenient for transportation.

Environment: The mirror facing the bed was a bit odd. Service: Very responsive and attentive to all requests. Hygiene: Clean, and the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too firm – I slept really well. Facilities: Well-equipped, and the breakfast was delicious, available until 11 AM, perfect for those who like to sleep in.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. We had a brilliant night view outside. The room also came with a bathtub, and the hotel provided disposable tub liners, which was great for the kids to enjoy a bath.

The location is a bit out of the way; it took quite a while to get there by car from Gongbei. Other than that, everything else was pretty good. Reviews on Xiaohongshu weren't great, but I thought it was better than expected. The only real issue was how incredibly hard the bed in the suite was. It's the complete opposite of the bed at the W Hotel in Shanghai. I really can't understand why there's such a huge difference in beds within the same hotel chain. This bed is honestly the hardest and most uncomfortable one I've ever slept on across all the hotels I've stayed at.

Originally, I booked a suite, and the front desk said they'd upgraded me? I honestly think it was the same room, haha. The room was super spacious, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful 😋. Plus, it's really close to the water park. However, the front desk didn't provide any basic information during check-in, so the service was just average.
