Stayed end of Feb during a business trip, greeted by the main entrance doors not working and the side door jammed. Security assisted with gaining access but not a great impression. The hotel card reader was not reading any of my cards even though I had just used them outside. I asked where the nearest bank was but the staff could not help apart from shrugging their shoulders. Another person had the same issue after me and it transpired the trainee receptionist had not got the experience to deal with the issues. The hotel was clean with decent rooms as you would expect at this level, the rest of my stay was pleasant with helpful staff.

I booked this hotel with my son as it is a musically themed hotel and it has exceeded all expectations.On arrival we were greeted by Anthony who was extremely helpful and very informative.There are complimentary instruments you my can book to play or if you wish you can also book a replica vinyl turntable for your room with your choice of vinyl.Lovely pool side area with chilled music in the background.All of the staff here have been very kind and helpful during our stay.Superb hotel. ACCESS : hotel is ~ 200m from Herrera Oria Metro stop - exit at the Herrera Oria exit, the alternative leaves you 50 m further away and downhill. From this metro station Madrid centre is 30-45 minutes away, at a cost of €2. ROOMS : very spacious, separate bath, shower, toilet, 2 wash basins, microwave BREAKFAST : fresh orange juice for every table, good range of pastries, bread, meats, eggs, - very good OUTDOOR POOL : 13.5m diameter, good for swimming, ~180cm deep everywhere so not really child friendly, sun blocked after about 6pm, open strictly 10.30am to 8.30pm, plenty of towels and loungers GYM: best you will ever see in a hotel, looks like it was once a thriving sports club with turnstiles but Covid probably killed it - now 4 rooms of every machine you could ever want. Indoor pools were drained - maybe they will be refilled in the autumn when the outside pool closes RESTAURANTS : Taberna La Illustracion is a 10-15 minute walk - run by mother an daughter - delicious food at a great price (€40 for 4 drinks and salad starter + main). Alright is America style restaurant - good, and only place where English was used. Several smaller cafes in the area offering standard 'raciones' - all good. Great hotel for exploring Madrid from.

Our hotel at Crisol Vía Castellana was okay but nothing more - to be honest I expected more, especially from a 4 star hotel. To start with the good things: the service is okay, breakfast is very nice and the metro and busses are right infront of the hotel (you still need to take 2 different trains to get to the most famous places though). Depending on the room you have a view above the street which can be enjoyable. You receive some cute chocolates and cosmetics when you arrive in the room. Nevertheless the hotel really needs a renovation! Starting with the lobby that only has some old and dirty sofas placed inside and could be designed in a way more comfortable way. The rooms really disappointed me!! We booked one king size bed and had two single beds. The safe didn´t work. The water in the shower changed from hot to cold very quickly. Most of the doors and shelfs had damages and looked very used. All in all I wouldn´t choose the hotel again unless it´s been renovated.

Stayed for 2 weeks at the end of January. I was visiting another company that had an office a 10 minute walk from the hotel so very convenient. Food the in on site restaurant was of a good quality and there is plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to change it up a bit. Good breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice. Room and overall hotel was clean and staff were polite and looked after me during my stay. The football stadium is a short walk away and you can hop on the metro to visit the more touristy centre of madrid if you need. The station is right outside. The airport is only a 15 minute drive away. Will stay here again.

The room you book through trip does not match then what I try to allocate the hotel. It was a 16-metre-square room and the reality was that it was not reached 10... Only a single bed and a desk that could not be used because there was a TV on it. I was going to pay a extra in the hotel to get a NH room. The hotel blamed Trip for this problem.

It is an old house, but very comfortable and well equipped. It is located 500 metres from the metro and the Chamartin train station where you can take the suburban and high speed train. It is also 300 metres from the metro. I offer pick up service from the airport or any other point as long as it is in the afternoon until 22 at night. The room is what you see in the photo. I can host another person in the same room with another mattress, if you need it. Ideal for people who want to travel to different parts of Spain and come back to Madrid in the same day or just stay in Madrid. I live in the house. I am Spanish, but I have lived many years in China and I speak, read and write Chinese. If you need it I can help you as a tourist informer as well.

The environment was generally well and close to the train/subway station. However, it was very difficult to locate the place at first because you have to go up a floor to discover the hotel. Apart from that, the construction hasn't stopped once I checked in so there was a lot of noise around. Plus the elevator outside of the hotel broke down twice while I was there. The bath and bed is generally well. Although I should warn those who wishes to stay, this hotel's equipments are fairly aged and it's near to impossible to turn the AC to the temperature you want. The breakfast was rather nice and I enjoyed the varieties of food it provided. The breakfast was not something fancy but definitely had more choices than the last hotel I stayed in Barcelona. In general, a nice place to stay. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The location is very convenient for transportation, just across the street from Chamartin Station and it takes only a few minutes to walk. There is a small road on the left hand side of the hotel. In the past, there is a residential area called Castilla Avenue. A small park is opposite the hotel. It is rather ridiculous. On the right hand side is Chamartin Station. The window can't be locked, there is no sense of security, but it's okay! Only had a dinner at the hotel, buffet, 16.5 euros, okay, there are lamb chops and shrimps, salads. Can take the children to live, the room is quite big, the bed is quite big, I don't know if I can have an extra bed.

Room was nice but I expected much more interesting decor from the ads. Area was very subdued, I think the restaurant was closed, maybe because of off season. Bed was comfortable and room was adequate. Liked the room darkening shades. Front desk help very nice and helpful with transportation questions. Overall harder to get to than I needed.

We chose this hotel over one right in the middle of downtown, and it was a good choice. Close to bus and metro stops, the ride to more touristy areas wasn't long, and we got to see a quieter, residential area. The restaurant and breakfast are excellent, including gluten free croissants-- no other hotel during my travels in Spain had such good gluten free options, they were great quality. They also have vegan options, including a delicious veggie burger. The room was fairly spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Overall a great stay.
