Ateneo Puerta del Sol

LOCATION ,SERVICE AND BEHAVIOUR IS VERY GOOD .ALSO VERY CLEAN .

I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and although she had to answer a phone call I waited patiently in reception and she apologised for the inconvenience. Smooth check in, hotel in fantastic location in between Sol and Gran Via. I would stay here again. I was here for Atletico v Real football match but i cannot remember much as I was drinking Rioja all day. The locals always have a smile on their face and I cannot wait to go back to this great city. The cleaners where also happy to help with bottles of water every morning. Would probably stay here again. Book with confidence. I love Madrid.

I came from Egypt and stayed in this hotel for 1 day. The hotel is in a perfect location in a very nice and safe area that is full of restaurants and easy to reach from the airport (about 30 minutes). It was not noisy as I imagined from reading some reviews. The staff are friendly and nice. I didn't like the room they gave me at the beginning, so they changed it for me immediately without issues and I have no complaints. The breakfast was great. The room was tidy and very clean with a nice small balcony and a big washroom. The things I didn't like are: 1- ALL the channels on the TV are in Spanish so it was useless. 2- The room I had was a bit small but probably that's how most of the buildings in this area are (It's Europe after all) 3- It would have been great it the room had one of those disposable slippers but that's a minor thing. Overall, I think it's a great value for money and would recommend it.

The room I was in (208) was extremely loud all night long, noise came both from outside as well from inside the hotel. The hotel is located at one of the most touristic places and people hang out right outside on the street all day and night. In addition, there was no acoustic isolation/damping whatsoever - I would wake up in the middle of the night every time someone passed by my room thinking someone had entered my room because it was so loud. The bathroom was pretty dirty and there greesy fingerprints all over the bathroom and the bed table. The only good thing is its location being close to stores, restaurants, and the metro station. But for the price I paid (~110 Euros per night) you will find a ton of better hotels!
